IT WAS MEANT TO BE CRINGE
I don't know why this series has a lower rating than other "cringe" Thai series. This show is meant to give you secondhand embarrassment—it’s supposed to be funny in a cringey way. It's not cringe because it's badly written; it's cringe because that's exactly what it was meant to be, and I love it. I think it deserves a much higher rating:(Was this review helpful to you?
I LOVE THIS SERIES SO BAD
I watched this series when I was new into Thai's thingy. I usually watched cheap storyline low-budget Thai's series so when I found this it's like a masterpiece😭😭.I like how the actors portrayed the characters. Also, how each episodes unfolded the problem step by step so you won't get bored. This is one of my comfort series, TaeTee are so cute🩷

PERFECTION
When someone is new to BL or Thai series, this is the first thing I recommend. The story is perfectly written, and the actors' performances are truly worthy of praise. THE CHEMISTRY WAS ON POINT!!!There aren't any explicit scenes like in today's BLs, but omg, even the smallest touches are enough to give you butterflies in your stomach🫠🫠
DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE OST! THEY ARE MASTERPIECE💝💝

I think this is a p*rn
I have always enjoyed Khun Sammon's works. Previously, I watched Triage and Manner of Death, so naturally, I expected 4Minutes to be as good as those two. It still has the medical field element, and the concept itself is unusual for Thai BL but actually quite familiar in Khun Sammon's works. Because of that, I went in with high expectations and thought I would enjoy it.However, from the first episode, I already had some difficulties getting into the story. I was distracted by how explicit the steamy scene was, especially because at that point I still hadn't fully understood where the story was going. I continued to episode 2, but unfortunately, the combination of a complicated plot and very explicit mature scenes didn't work well for me. The storyline itself has potential, but the way it was presented made it harder for me to connect with the series. Also, the acting was not the problem. The actors delivered their performances well—they didn't feel stiff, awkward, or unnatural. The emotions and chemistry were there, and I could see the effort they put into their characters.
It's not that I have a problem with mature content, especially when it fits the story and characters. But for me, the balance felt off. The explicit scenes became more noticeable than the actual plot, and that affected my overall experience. Sadly, 4Minutes didn't meet my expectations, especially because I was comparing it to the quality and storytelling I experienced from Triage and Manner of Death.

People might say it could've been better, but I disagree. I don't think this was a case of wasted potential—the writing itself was just bad.

The biggest issue for me was IU's character. Instead of being a charming female lead, she came across as simply unlikeable. I kept waiting for the moment I'd understand or root for her, but it never really happened.
Even more disappointing was the chemistry—or rather, the lack of it. For a romance, chemistry is everything, and I just didn't feel it between IU and Byeon Woo-seok's characters. Individually, they're both charismatic actors, but together, something just didn't click. Ironically, the premise wasn't the problem. I love this kind of story. The actors weren't the problem either. On paper, Perfect Crown had everything I usually look for in a rom-com. It just never came together in a way that made me want to keep watching.

meh
I gave this series a try because people were hyping it everywhere. I started watching it right after finishing another DMD series that was also really hyped, and I loved that one. But this one? Meh.The storyline is basic, and so are the characters. The acting isn't great either. There are a lot of awkward pauses and empty moments, and the performances just feel unnatural. It also seems like they were trying way too hard to be funny, but the humor didn't land for me. Dropped it after episode 1
