Both of these shows chose to be different, and could have gone the cliché route, but they chose to add depth and layers. These layers challenged the rigid Korean norms. Both were done in a very entertaining way, while also being serious at the same time. The two provoked thought, and I love how they both chose to take a nonconventional route, and it really paid off.

Both of these shows have ex-lovers who are forced to be back in each other's lives, and the plots detail the drama that ensues. The protagonists in both are a little bit immature, and it is entertaining watching them being forced to deal with each other once again. Also both were mockumentaries, where the characters were often aware that they were on camera. But most of all, both are great shows that have many similarities.

Both of these shows have an emphasis on sci-fi and augmented reality. There is a rich developer and a normal girl whose paths intersect. There is action in both shows, however Memories of the Alhambra has more sci fi action, and my Holo Love has a lot more romance.

Both of these shows have supernatural elements and deal with topics like ghosts and death, and also immortal protagonists with a dark past. While there are both lots of staggering similarities, both are fantastic shows that stand alone and make a name for themselves.
