Overrated and boring

I'm sorry if my review annoys people. I know this show is considered to be a classic and has a cult following like goblin or boys over flowers but I could barely keep my interest while watching this.

I don't know if it was because the FL lead pretending to be a guy was so far fetched and unbelievable or if it was her acting that I didn't like. Maybe it was the second lead syndrome? I can quite pin point it, but this show came HIGHLY recommended and for ME, personally, it was one of the worst I've ever seen. I was so utterly disappointed in this. I expected more.

I have this thing where I literally FORCE myself to finish dramas that I start. No matter how bad they are, I will make sure that I watch it all so I can judge it as a whole. I think this drama took me a few months to finish. I am not even lying. I would watch increments of 20 mins a day and then tune into other more exciting dramas.

Again, don't take my word for it and by all means watch it for yourself because you may love it like the majority on here who rated it 10 stars. For me, it is something I will never put myself through again.

WHAT THE F@#$K HAPPENED TO THIS DRAMA??

I am beyond disappointed with Season 3 -- I am literally RAGING at how poorly written it was and how consistently bad the show became with every passing episode. I thought about dropping the drama entirely early into the season; but as the car wreck became worse and more laughable, I was too invested to stop. I would watch the episodes and then vent on here because talking to others who felt the same way provided me the entertainment that the season lacked.

Season 1-2 where quite enjoyable to watch and the S2 finale had me so excited for the show's return. But whatever Phoebe did this season DID NOT WORK. The season 2 finale had endless opportunities to make S3 interesting. How would Songwon and Seo Ban fall in love? Would she realize that Sahyeon was just a man child and fall in love with Ban while tutoring him Chinese? Was that why Sahyeon marries Ami in the S2 finale? To get back at Songwon by marrying her friend? Also would Ban be up for raising Songwon's baby from another man so that he could get a family? And then there was Piyoung & Dongma... I was so excited to see how they were going to date too. Would Gabin dump him and then he meets Piyoung? I was not expecting the lame storyline of Dongma falling in love her Piyoung's scream WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT???? Or him dumping his fiancee while she is grieving the death of her parents for another woman. Seriously the way that Piyoung & Dongma got together was super weird and awkward. Yes, they may have chemistry but their rushed and forced romance did not sit right with me. And don't even get me started on Ban and Sieun. While I am happy that she has found someone better than the asshole professor, the way that the relationship between Ban and Sieun progressed made me super fucking uncomfortable. Yes, it's cute that she was his first crush at school but CHILL DUDE, you can date her for more than two times before proposing to her. I found their whirlwind marriage a joke. A woman who has been divorced, especially because she was cheated on, surely would take more time getting to know the man that she was dating, rather than getting engaged after a handful of dates. Like Sieun wasn't even ready for him to meet her children yet and Ban was already buying her the ring. Look I love Ban, I think he's a great guy and a great catch. Sieun deserves happiness the most, imo, but I cannot get behind how the writer literally set up the mistresses having better slow burn and developed relationships than the wives. The romances that started in this season, should've progressed slowly so that by season 4, these couples were marrying and then I would not have a problem with how they got together at all. Another quick thing, both romances between Ban x Sieun and Dongma x Piyoung feel like they are being BOUGHT because the brothers are super rich. Both women are not working and have been reduced to housewives. It's like these brothers flashed a little bit of cash and these women were smitten by their new lifestyles.

What was the point of killing off Songwon?????? I bet this wasn't even decided at the S2 finale but something the writer did to shock us? I really don't get WHY they killed her off if she was going to roam around for the entire season???? I was never really a fan of hers and but killing her off when she just got the baby that she always wanted was just fucking cruel. I really started to hate her character again once she possesed Hyeryung. Say what you want about Hyeryung as a character, but she deserved better than having her ex husband's dead mistress controlling her body. That was disgusting. Also speaking of Hyeryung WHAT was the point in making her pregnant and then making her suffer a miscarriage. How fucking cruel is that?? Especially since she has always been told that she cannot have kids. I really do not like how fucking Sieun WHO IS 50 and Piyoung WHO IS 41 are both pregnant but no, let's let Hyeryung lose her baby (and husband AGAIN, since he will marry Ami soon)

Sigh, the quality of the drama overall dropped quickly. And I don't just mean in terms of the plot/script but also in:


-ACTING:

new Dongmi did not have the same sexiness or allure as the old one. It felt like a new character entirely.
new Sahyeon, -while I prefer him to Sunghoon- barely spoke any lines in the first 5-6 episodes.
I didn't mind the new Yushin (he was definitely the BEST out of the recasts) but I still miss the old one (he was so SEXY)

-QUALITY OF THE SETS:

the houses, especially Yushin's home looked so cheap this season. Don't believe me, go back to Season 2 and check it out for yourself. Dongmi's room looked UGLY AF . It looked like a room a teenager would have, not that of a 60 year old woman.

PLOT/SCRIPT:

I think it's pretty self-explanatory that the original fans of this show did not enjoy the rushed story lines, forced romances or ghosts plots. The new couples of the show had the potential to become great, if they were properly developed. How the ex-husbands and the mistresses had more developed romances over the last two season will always make my blood boil. Also the way that they reduced these STRONG women into just playing rich and pampered house wives is appalling.

Anyways, the season finale was such a joke. Another cliffhanger? The wedding of Songwon and Seo Ban circulating again?? Do they marry as ghosts????? Also that scene with Sahyeon and Ami in the bath tub when we have not even seen them interact once aside from the S2 wedding that never happened?????

The show is definitely going to get a S4 but at this point, I don't know if I want to watch it. I'm invested and I want closure but after the shit show that this season was, is it even worth the torture????

Finally, here are MY predictions for S4:

1) BOTH Seo brothers die :

-Dongma in the ambulance (as shown already)
-Ban in the car accident (he went to answer the phone and crashes)

When Chairman Seo hears the news about his sons, he also dies.

2) Yushin will dump Ami when he learns that Dongma is dead and then he will reunite with Piyoung and raise her and Dongma's baby.

3) Ami will then fall in love with Sahyeon because she will want to make Yushin jealous.

4) Seo Ban and Songwon will marry as ghosts and then find peace together.

5) Dongmi will try and seduce Mr Pan, I think that's the woman who ill try to "snatch away the man" that the ghost baby was warning Sahyeon's mum about . It could work if Chairman Seo is dead, and Dongmi is no longer talking to Yushin since he had her committed. She will need someone rich to leech off. All this is, ONLY if she manages to get out of the mental house.

6) Sieun's ex will try to weasel his way back into her life but she will blatantly refuse him and raise Ban's child (or twins) by herself.

7) Gabin gives me depressed vibes so she either moves overseas or kills herself but she is not getting back with the professor because she shut that shit down last episode.

Even my love for Nam Joohyuk could NOT save this drama

What tf did I just watch ?? At no point in this was I even once remotely interested or hooked in this drama. It was weird from the start until the end and not in the good kind of weird.

I only watched this for my man Nam Joohyuk❤ All the reviews on here were praising this show and rating it 8.5 and upwards to 10 so I thought this would be at least decent but NOPE. Let me tell you that even my love for Nam Joohyuk could NOT save this drama.

Thankfully it was only six episodes. I struggled finishing this to be completely honest. Had it been a 16 episode drama, there's probably no way in hell that I would've been able to finish it.

Anyways watch for yourself because you might enjoy it if you're into this weird kind of stuff.

Painful.

I don't even know where to start with this review *sigh* I started this show for the noona ( 누나) romance. I do believe that the FL & ML had amazing chemistry and were so adorable together, but once the mum started nagging and actively trying to seperate them the show was instantly ruined for me. The mum really made finishing this drama feel like a chore. All her scenes were just painfully unbearable.

I don't understand why this was made into a drama when it could've all been covered in a 2 hour movie?? A lot of episodes felt like filler eps.

The soundtrack was TERRIBLE. I never want to hear 'stand by your man' again in my life and despite previously loving 'save the last dance for me' -- I think I will now skip it whenever it comes on my shuffle playlist. I have nightmares about this soundtrack.

I thought the sexual harassment storyline was pointless since the resolution sucked and was super unsatisfying. The scenes with Ms Kang were annoying asf. How she was constantly throwing herself at Joon-hee and then the way she treated Jin-a when she heard they were together. I wanted to see some kinda growth with her character but there was nothing.

The saddest part of this drama for me (apart from the way the mum treated Joon-hee) was the fall out between Jin-a and Joon-hee's sister. I loved their friendship was much and to see that deteriorating throughout the mid to later half of the show made me so sad.

I'll never rewatch this drama again so I rated it quite low. I didn't HATE-hate it but I didn't love it either. I think the show was just meh overall to me. I'm kinda torn between whether I'm happy I watched/finished this or whether I'm upset I wasted my time?? Like I said it was painful to finish and probably would've been more enjoyable had it been a movie.

I have a love-hate relationship with this drama. Even as I write this review, my feelings are still mixed? Was it entertaining? Yes, for the most part. Was it predictable at times? Yes, very. Did most of the characters annoy me? Yes, I could not stand Hui-ju the female lead, her daughter Li-sa, the rude sister-in-law Doctor, the annoying, overbearing mother-in-law and even the male lead Woo-jae at times. Did the ending suck? YES!!! It's kinda anti-climactic really.

I should say that I only watched this for two reasons: 1) For Choi Won-young, my sexy dilf who I'm OBSESSED with and 2) For Shin Hyun-bin.

The acting on this show was flawless. All the actors were superb. Even the child actors understood the assignment despite however annoying Li-sa was at times. I really enjoyed seeing Shin Hyun-bin in a role completely different to her character in Hospital Playlist. She proved that she has a lot of potential. I think she perfectly played a tortured and complex character so well; whereas the other female lead had like the same two facial expressions (either fake smiles or a shocked face)

For the most part the storyline is entertaining but very, very predictable. I found it very hard to like Hui-ju as a character because of her cheating. I felt sorry for her wronged husband who loved her so much that he was willingly to pretend to be in denial about her affair despite knowing for all those years. It was heartbreaking to see him unravel as Woo-jae re-entered his wife's life and tormented him about their relationship .

Woo-jae annoyed me a lot. He shouldn't have married Hae-won again if he was just going to obsess over Hui-ju. He started the drama saying that he wanted to apologise to Hae-won for the hurt he had previously caused her, but he just turned her into a bigger monster by the end. Granted I know he didn't exactly regain his memories when he married her, but he could've told her that he was against getting married again until he was sure it was what he wanted. I started to really hate him when he kissed Hui-ju on his wedding day and then still went on to marry Hae-won. Despite her drive for revenge being annoying at times, I did feel for Hae-won. She deserved better than to have the two people she loved the most do this to her. I was hoping that she would end up with Hui-ju's brother because he treated her so much better than Woo-jae and she deserved a proper shot at love and happiness. I guess its implied that they will end up together but not shown.

I knew the show would end up with a reversal of fortune. Hae-won returning back to her old self again as Hannah, a sucessful artist, no longer dark and twisted but happy and full of life again; and Hui-ju now being the one living in hell, tormented and tortured by her mistakes and her past. I definitely think Hui-ju deserved that kind of ending, but I really felt so sorry for her husband. He truly did not deserve to live with the feeling that his wife abandoned him and her family for someone he was always felt insecure around due to his inferiority complex. The husband deserved so much better in my opinion. I would've rather see Hui-ju take the fall for Woo-jae's death and do time in jail than this ending.

Ignore the haters, this is MUST watch, don't miss out; you're welcome x

Why all the hate????? This was honestly one of the best dramas I've ever seen. Easily in my top three now. King the land (which I also loved) was so well received but the main couple's romance was cringey at times despite their amazing chemistry. At no point did this drama make me cringe. Rowoon & Boah have electric chemistry..honestly some of the best chemistry I've ever seen. I loved this series so much. I did not expect it to have such a hold on me but it will forever have me in a chokehold. The storyline was interesting/intriguing, the ML & FL were loveable funny characters, their banter was TOP TIER??? I'm a sucker for storylines that deal with reincarnation and past lives. The comedy in this was great. Especially the first few episodes were the male lead is trying not to love the female lead and his body is contradicting what he is saying. Ignore the haters and give this a chance for yourselves. I haven't been THIS obsessed with a drama since See you in my 19th life or Hometown Cha Cha Cha. A MUST WATCH FOR ROMCOM LOVERS?

I adore this drama. LOVE IT.

I adore this drama. There are not enough words to describe how much I love this drama. LOVE it. I loved it so much that I made me family watch it with me right after I finished watching it.

I only rated it a 9.5 because it gave me serve second lead syndrome and PAIN, otherwise it would've gotten a perfect 10.
Don't get me wrong, I do ship the main leads. Their love story was really beautiful and their kisses are some of the best I've seen. Not those blank stares, looks like the guy is kissing a dead fish kind of kiss but real, authentic kisses where the girl actually kisses back.

I am so upset that people hate on this drama because the lead isn't deemed attractive enough. I totally fell in love with him during the drama and the way people can be so shallow or superficial makes me mad. The leads had amazing CHEMISTRY. I read at the time of filming, the FL needed to take a medical break, so the original ML dropped out of this drama to film something else and the part eventually was recast to the current ML. Yes, there is a big age gap between them but it never shows on the drama and they feed off each other so naturally because their chemistry is THAT good. I cannot imagine anyone else playing the role of the CEO after reading that he was the actor that was re-cast.

I really loved the romance between Oh-dol and Joo Yun (Oh-sol's bestfriend). I was shipping them from their first interaction and I couldn't believe what I thought to be a crackship actually became canon/endgame. I wish they had more scenes throughout the show but I was very satisfied with their love story and ending <3

I don't even want to talk about the second lead because I will start crying again. He definitely deserved better. He really did love Oh-sol so much and their flashback scenes made it impossible NOT to ship them. It was unfortunate that their timing was off, I would've been okay if Oh-sol had ended up with him too. I was kind of mad, that they didn't give him a romance. The idea that he just leaves Korea to go back to the States hurts me deeply.

After re-watching this drama twice, I went and watched the Chinese adaptation 'Use For My Talent' and while I did enjoy it a lot, I realized that Kdramas will always be the superior dramas

Okay but not great

So I completely skipped over the part that this was a melodrama and went into this expecting it would be a cute and fluffy romcom. When the movie didn't meet my expectations, the experience was ruined for me. I don't usually enjoy melodramas and I usually skip that genre altogether to be honest. So not even my love for the cast could make up for my disappointment.

As the biggest fans of Shin Min-a and Jo Jung-suk, this has been on my list for ages and something I was most excited to watch. As quickly as I caught on that it wasn't going to be a cute romcom, I found myself struggling to finish it.

Young-min, the husband is depicted as a man who is only interested in having sex with his wife Mi-young in the begining of the film. There's an entire montage of him constantly taking off his pants to do it with her while they are in the honeymoon stage and then as the film moves pass this, he becomes weirdly obsessed with wanting to sleep with every female he sees: his ex friend, his young naive coworker and female strangers etc. He goes through this unbelievable horny phase and almost cheats on his wife. This storyline topped with little things like peeing on the toilet seat don't exactly paint him like a great husband nor make marriage look appealing. Young-min's flaw is that he insecure in his marriage, this is evident when he makes up scenarios in his head, while on a movie date with his wife when they bump into a younger co-worker of hers and he gets jealous, thinking his wife is flirting. We also see further examples of his insecurities about himself in comparison to the wife's co-worker (their height difference, his career, the fact that he and his wife rode a bus to the cinema but the co-worker drives a BMW etc)

Mi-young, the wife is pretty perfect in my opinion and too good for him, let's be honest. She works as an art teacher, cooks for her husband and when given the opportunity to continue to meet up with someone from her past (her first love and ex boyfriend) she doesn't even entertain the thought because she doesn't want to cheat. Unlike her husband, who made out with his ex-friend/ his old crush at the first opportunity that he could (while his wife was sleeping over at her mum's place) and probably would've cheated if his old crush didn't stop it. I guess the only flaw the movie paints Mi-young to have is her nagging her husband about cleaning up after himself or lifting the toilet seat up when he needs to pee, but I didn't see anything wrong with that. Most wives would do the same in this situation and her nagging didn't come across as anything overly annoying.

I guess the point of the movie is to show that these two maybe not so quite suited for each other people somehow make their marriage work in the end. The film ends with the husband unsure if he's found the meaning of love but somehow content with his life with his wife and newborn baby.

Overall, its a movie that you probably watch once but never again. It wasn't my favourite but it wasn't terrible either. It was okay but not great either.

WORST KDRAMA EVER. GIVE ME BACK THE 20HOURS THAT I WASTED

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I honestly want the 20 hours of my life that I wasted on this bullshit drama back!!!

Ugh, I do not even know where to begin with this review!!!!! This was hands down the WORST Kdrama I've ever seen and 28 faces of the moon literally exists! At least with 28 faces of the moon, it was soo bad that you could laugh. This mad me angry from start to finish.

The show's premise sounded so interesting & the pilot was semi ok-ish. I won't lie, I was a little intrigued but a few episodes in, I wanted to drop it so bad. My stubborn ass doesn't drop dramas so next came the torturous, agonizing CHORE of "trying" to finish this. I lost track of the amount of times this drama put me to sleep! I wish I was kidding but I literally fell asleep about three times an episode. I could barely get through 1-2 episodes a day and I'm a notorious kdrama enthusiast & bingewatcher.

I cannot stress enough how shit this drama was. Apart from Sharon/Seo Ji-hye's character, everything was BAD: The drama leaves so many plotholes unanswered. The characters are annoying. The lack of chemistry between the leads was the biggest let down. At no point did I ever ship them together in their past life or present & their forced love story didn't help --- all the "cute" scenes were an absolute cringe-fest for me. It's ironic that Soo-hoo had better chemistry with Sharon even when he was looking at her with disgust than the actual "love of his life" Hae-ra. And don't get me started on Shin Se-kyung's HORRIBLE acting. There's a reason why I never watch her dramas anymore. I will NEVER put myself through anything else she stars in again, because just like always her acting is so flat and bland and extremely tiresome.. Speaking of acting, I rated the overall acting a 5 here, for Seo Ji-hye's performance. I would've rated her acting a 10, but she was the ONLY one (apart from the actress who played Baek-hee) who could act so the rest dragged the acting down. Kim Rae-won was hot, sure, but he literally had one expression the entire time. Even his acting, I found to be disappointing. The second leads had better acting range, in my opinion.

Sharon to me, really saved this drama. Her acting was phenomenal. Yes, she too was annoying in parts while she was trying to separate Soo-ho & Hae-ra, but from start to finish, I was surprisingly on her side. I just couldn't root for the leads. Don't ask me why?? I felt so sorry for Sharon. She really loved Soo-ho and to see her rejected time and time again broke my heart. I think the writers did a great job of making me HATE Soo-ho by the end. His behaviour was appalling. I understand that he didn't love Sharon in the present life, but he owed her an apology for the way he acted in his past life. It's not lost on me that Sharon killed him and Hae-ra out of jealousy and she too should've apologised BUT there should've been some mention by him of loving her during the early years of their marriage, at least until she couldn't provide him children. We saw how happy they looked in a flashback when they were sleeping in bed together and the fact that an acknowledgement scene like this was omitted just proves that the writers tried hard to force this narrative that Hae-ra was always the woman he loved not his first wife...well I didn't buy it. Poor Sharon didn't ask to be swapped at birth with Hae-ra. All she was truly guilty of was loving her husband so much that her jealousy turned her into a monster. Also quick side note: was I the only one who thought Soo-ho actually looked miserable in his married life with Hae-ra while she started to age? At first, I thought he was sad that she was getting old because he knew their time was limited, but then I was like nope he's genuinely miserable.

Two other things annoyed me aside from the things I wrote above. 1) We don't really get any closure regarding Park Gon & Yeong-mi's relationship. I actually shipped them MORE than the leads! Obviously they must've married because they stayed together while the show did a lame attempt at a future time jump. But I wanted a scene where Gon tells Yeong-mi that he loved her. It was always implied that he loved Hae-ra more and I wanted him to snap out of that and love the girl who stayed loyally and lovingly by his side! 2) At the start of the show, it says that anyone that did business dealings with Soo-ho and tried to rip him off or go against him, was either killed or badly injured. This is shown one other time randomly when a business associate pulls out of a deal and his son ends up him a coma after a bad car crash. But why??? How??? Did Soo-ho order a hit? Was he cursing the people who went against him? Was he an evil man pretending to be good? We saw a lot of his nasty side with how he dealt with Sharon, so he wasn't a saint. Why was this never addressed? The writers needed to explain this better because I still don't know what tf happened to that man's son or why we don't hear about the suspicious circumstances that befall those who go against him. It's literally mentioned in the pilot and then forgotten about for several episides, mentioned once and then never again. That annoyed me.

Anyways, I've wasted enough of my time writing this review. Watch it, if you're brave but if you think "I'm going to stick with it, because it'll get better" --- DON'T. You are only wasting your time. But how knows, you might actually like it? I wish I could have the 20hours of my life that I wasted back!

Dr Dong (ML) ruined the drama for me

I have a love-hate relationship with this drama. It started off beautifully and I liked all the characters (except for the ML who was the proctology doctor Dong Go Yoon. I'll explain this in a bit). I feel like the story could've been a lot better if they focused less on the love story between the leads. I also was on the wrong side of the love triangle which didn't help with my enjoyment rating. Aside from that, it was a cute little drama. I liked that it was only 12 episodes and there weren't many filler episodes.
Stop reading if you don't want spoilers ;)

Plot wise, the story was kind of predictable at times. I knew the death of Da Eun's close patient Kim Seo Wan (WHO I LOVED SO MUCH *CRIES*) would be too much for our FL and I knew that she would end up becoming a patient in a psychiatric facility. Obviously despite the predictability, I still enjoyed watching the show unfold and seeing her descent into mental illness/depression and how she managed to recognise her condition and learn to care for herself. The drama made me cry at times, especially with the way the FL was treated once she returned to work by some of the psychiatric patient's relatives and even the way the apartment complex was treating the Head Nurse for trying to move into the building with her sick sister.

Things I loved:

The drama did a fantastic job at showing how each person felt dealing with their mental health episodes. The other male lead, Da Eun's best friend Yu Chan (THE BETTER MAN) suffered anxiety and panic attacks. There were a few scenes where they showed how he felt in that moment by contrasting it to water that would slowly start at his feet and then rise up until it swallowed him whole. Another mother of a patient who was overworking herself had an attack where she was walking in the City and then suddenly each of the buildings started disappearing around her until she was just essentially left in an open white void of nothing. Even seeing the dragons that my favourite character Kim Seo Wan wanted to slay was really tragically beautiful. The visuals in this drama were well done and on point.

I also loved the side couple's romance. I found their love story to be better than the main leads. Truthfully I was team Yu Chan and Da Eun. Friends to lovers is the superior trope and the storyline had so much potential. I would've loved to see them end up together but she went for the most boring character ever. So side couple >>> main couple.

Things I hated/ Weakest part:

Kdramas need to stop romanticising males who stalk their love interest. I really loved this drama and wanted to watch it but every time Doctor Dong Go Yoon was on screen, I felt physically sick . I find it extremely uncomfortable to watch when the ML thinks it's okay to suffocate the FL with inserting himself into her life ALL THE TIME. The scenes where he was waiting for her at the bus stop everyday, letting buses go past and then trying to make it out like he just go there and it was a coincidence that they were both waiting for the same bus didn't sit well with me. I could just be nitpicking and maybe most people would find this cute but to me it really triggers me. I have been in situations where guys come on too strong and love bomb you and essentially suffocate you by constantly being around you and it's annoying. I don't see how Da Eun fell for him. Also his count down until he could ask her out again made me furious. Even when he was told that Da Eun was depressed and not coping too well and NOT to go to her house, he still went with flowers. I'm sorry but he really irritated me. He was also a shit friend to Yu Chan. He knew his friend liked Da Eun and he still pursued her. Even when Yu Chan asked him not too, he didn't care and disregarded his friend. I hated him. I hated his character and he ruined the show for me. I also hated him cracking his knuckles in every scene. I felt sick whenever he was on my screen.

Aside from my rant about Dr Dong, I did like the show and I could've rated it a ten, but he ruined my experience for me and therefore, I probably won't be rewatching this again in the future.

Started off strong but quickly became so disappointing

Let me just start off by saying that it was my LOVE for Chansung that kept me invested in this drama when I was bored and dying to drop it.

This drama started of quite promising. It had so much potential and I did enjoy the early episodes. I can't tell you exactly where it got boring, but once it did I just struggled so much to finish it.

I really love the male lead, I struggled to like the female lead. I don't know what it was about her but she was super annoying to me.

Jaejoon was definitely the best character and once again Chansung blew me away with his phenomenal acting. Inhyung as annoying as she was to watch also held my interest the entire drama where the love story between the main leads bored me.

Personally, I liked the side couples a lot more than the leads. I can't be the only one that found the ending, the proposal to be super CRINGE, right? To be honest they should've invested more time into repairing Jaejoon + Inhyung's relationship and made THEM get engaged by the end because they were together much longer than the leads.

One thing that annoyed me was that Inhyung never apologized to JJ for how she treated him during their relationship or for making him jealous of Hoojoon. JJ should've apologised for his jealousy too. I wanted them to acknowledge that there WAS love there because it was evident that they DID love each other. I'm happy that they were endgame but I wanted them to have a heart to heart and sort out their misunderstandings. I hate when kdramas leave things ambiguous.

Overall, I found the drama to drag a bit and then rush over important things like repairing JJ & Inhyung's relationship. The leads failed to hold my interest and their chemistry was non-existent. I definitely preferred all the side ships and characters to Geunyoung .

Watachable but not amazing

Sigh. I don't know. Maybe I just prefer the Korean version more ? Clean with passion for now had everything I wanted; whereas this show had too much fluff/over the top, grand scenes that just kind of really turned me off ? For example the proposal scene was sooooo extravagant that it was cringey and then the scene where the female lead took the male lead for his birthday cake on the bridge was another one. When a show is too focussed on unbelievable love declarations and grand gestures, it loses my interest. I just don't buy into all that sappy love bullshit.

I will say that the side couples were adorable. The female lead's brother and her bestfriend were given more screntime in this adaptation which was nice. I shipped them in both the Korean and this drama so I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop and be explored more. I also liked the male lead's friend/assistant and his girlfriend.

The second lead syndrome was strong in this drama too. And even though in both dramas I did like the leads together, my heart was breaking for the second leads. I think I definitely prefered the female lead with the second leads in both.

Overall, this was watchable for a remake but I have learned that the original is always better. The one positive thing that I took from this was the side couple were better developed.

An underrated gem

I really believe this to be an underrated gem. I think it's probably aimed at a more mature audience so if you like cliche romcoms that don't really have much plot rather than boy meets girl and they fall in love, you probably won't enjoy the mature themes in this drama.

I found this to be a great healing drama. The character of Nam Se-hee seems a bit eccentric and unbelievable when you first start it. He wants a clean, non-smoker, non-noisy roommate to feed his cat and do the recycling etc. He even tells his boss at one point that he can't work any overtime because his previously roommate moved out and he needed to go home and feed his cat. Enter Yoon Ji-ho. After a mix-up, she is the perfect solution to being his tenant. She is clean, she feeds his cat, she recycles and goes above and beyond in keeping the apartment clean and even cooking meals for Se-hee. They enter into a marriage contract where she gets to stay at his house as a tenant while helping him pay off his mortgage and it's only meant to be for two years (?) Obliviously, they fall in love and things get really complicated. Se-hee has a painful past and he is has closed himself off to love. But their love story between the two leads is so beautiful and their kisses are some of the best I've ever seen.

There are also two other side couples which interesting storylines. I really like how this drama focused on the different struggles and expectations each couple had while being in their 30s. Like I said early, this drama is definitely pitched for a more mature audience so it might not be for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would watch it again. The acting was good, the story moved at a good pace. There were no boring filler episodes or dragged out storylines.

Not Train to Busan but 100 times better than Peninsula

I went into this movie with high expectations. I felt satisfied after finishing it. I don't understand the negative reviews. I definitely enjoyed it MORE than Peninsula, which I felt was such a let down after the masterpiece that was Train to Busan.

People are saying that it was slow moving but I think it went at a good pace and was entertaining until the end. Slow moving for me is 99% of the walking dead which is literally packed with boring, filler episodes. At no point in this movie was I bored or waiting for it to end. It held my interest from start to finish. So that's why I would consider re-watching it again. I am also a huge Park Shin-hye fan so maybe I'm a tad bit biased?
