I want to say is that even though I am suffering from drought for his dramas because he really is an outstanding actor and so pleasing to watch on screen, I still appreciate it that he don't accept dramas for the sake to stay relevant. Though he don't have any dramas (major in which he is the lead) airing for 2 years, he still maintained his popularity and the fandom is growing largely that he solidified his position as one of the "liuliang" in the C-ent industry. (Note that even though actors have many dramas aired, airing now and have accepted many acting projects and filming to this day, it can't guarantee them to reach the "liuliang" status easily.) I don't want to name-drop the actors for people can come and attack me here as I can see they have many fans internationally. I don't mean to offend anyone, I just want to say that it's amazing Deng Lun can still achieve that position without accepting dramas (major ones) for the last 2 years and maintained it through variety shows. I see some people recommending Deng Lun to be the replaced ML but lemme say this, I also want them to reunite again someday in a drama (Yang Zi and Deng Lun from Ashes of Love) but not in this way that he will replace this disgusting man. Deng Lun is really a great actor *chef kiss* saw the shared clip for the sequel and his acting is WOW!!! I heard in the clip that the director praised him on that acting and decided to keep the clip as it was a superb acting!!!! (The sequel will be more interesting!!! I can sense it). Throughout the movie, Deng Lun really gets me with his acting! It was so good!! 💞

I also read opinions of others to know what really transpired and the discussion come to an agreement that that the poison is intentionally used to kill the emperor slowly (for the rebellion to be a success as based on the emperor's temperament, he won't give it up) but Run Yu did not expect some things to happen in his plan ✋(It was backed up by the conversation between the Moon Immortal and Snake Immortal).This is the reply to the other one who commented.

The ML's "vomitting of blood" becomes too excessive (I read that the number of times he vomits blood exceeds the drama's episode number) and just like the comment below, The FL's saying or shouting "Si Feng" many times gets on my nerves and I hate to say it's kinda irritating. The misunderstandings on this drama tires my soul tbh. It can simply be resolved by talking to each other but they chose to drag it.
