he looks like li yunrui so much. he can pass off as his twin or a body double.

this ML is just ah**e. it's going to be a painful watch if xiao fang ends up w/him. if there's a growth arc for him, let it be forgotten at this point, coz i have no way of thinking about how to redeem him anymore. haha.

i love this drama so much! nothing's wasted. all the effort and resources of everybody are so worth it. this is like an ice cream sundae with a cherry on top, you savor every piece of what's in it, and satisfaction is guaranteed.

finished rewatching and the 2nd time around just evoked all the other emotions i never had on the first, after knowing who xiao wu yi and xie jia yu was from the 1st watch. i thought ji bozai is already memorable, but xiao wu yi exceeded that. haha.

Drama of the year!!! no doubt about it. The original script did not disappoint at all. brighter future for c-ent if this practice continues. and cheers to HMH and Ai mi for such brilliant performances. Definitely on my list of Fave Rewatch. hoping to see some of the people here in the Spring of the Blade community when it airs. see u guys soon! haha

just started and oh my. this is the ultimate idol drama. Xi he's "harem" as i call them, lol, is gorgeous! this drama is such a feast to the eyes. haha. even the maids and other supporting cast are so good looking. daymmn

what?!? they're hating on li mao?? i couldnt hate him. it's difficult to hate a face like his. haha. even more so of wu yi's.

actually it's the opposite for me. at first i was so annoyed, but then if you really think about it, if i were in xiao wuyi's position, war is a mind game won by whoever has the most devious, craftiest strategy. yes, courage and sacrifice are deciding factors to win it, but ultimately it's a mind game! and im actually loving the way they presented that concept in the drama.

nice. but talking about the ending.... im guessing a "no-happily-ever-after" for him, IF AND ONLY IF, that's how they planned to end it too. coz from the very beginning till now, the one key point i noticed, that anchors everything that xiao wu yi does, is his selflessness.

i want to be angry with riley's character but i just can't coz he looks too chill and too kind to be in a villain role. lol.

i dont know in mainland, but in the intl scene, not so much I THINK, maybe to some yes, but not as much as the drama rebirth. it's really good that this drama has an amazingly good plot, story, and production coz it saved whatever issues arose during its airing.

all that and the fact that this, i think, is the only drama i know of, where the villain actually lived and received the justice he meticulously fought for, for decades. and that the cycle of revenge was broken off and justice was given by the very person he was fighting all this with. now, isn't that a result we all wanted? just so beautiful.

how can these actors deliver such heartrending lines and cry profusely without distorting their face?? like im crying with XWY and XJY, but they still look so good. T_T nway, that convo bet. the 2 of them is everything. i felt it down to my nucleus. that's how deep they made that scene felt like.
