so far, not very much. might change as the story continues though!
He is listed as a supporting character in the MDL cast list, so why is he being referred to as the second male ‘lead’? Is he actually a lead in the story?
Guys, how much screen time does the SML actually get? I’ve watched six episodes so far and he hasn’t really made much of an impact. I’m hoping it stays that way.
He's an NPC (Non-Player Character - Staff), she is a customer and can choose her role.
I thought the game had real people and NPCs interacting with each other. By the way, their face remains the same in the game? It doesn’t change according to the character?
Nice way to actually explain all of that. Just throw the SML out the window and I think we’re all good lol.
I hope it goes the way you’ve said. I’ve watched many C-dramas where the “evil” SML starts off trying to manipulate the FL just to one-up the ML, then ends up genuinely falling for her. After that it’s all pining and melancholy, which I’m really not into. So fingers crossed this one doesn’t go down that path.

That’s true, unless the writer gives him the dreaded SML plot armour. Then he somehow keeps popping up and sticking his nose between the main couple again and again, lol.
By the way, I don’t know if you know, but in When the Phone Rings the FL literally fell off a cliff and walked away with just a few bruises.
Can you please tell me if it has happy ending ? Like the novel ?
Ah, I understand the basic scenario now. I really hope they stick close to the novel and don’t unnecessarily amplify the angst—if anything, I’d much rather they tone it down, haha.
And if the hour ever comes that truly calls for a riot, do make sure to ping me! 😁

Ah, so do these “NPCs” continue interfering with our leads or do they exit like they weren’t ever there? Haha, yeah, we riot, but that’s AFTER the damage. 😭 By the way, it makes me uncomfortable when they show too much of those “NPCs” as I don’t like the idea of having a placeholder partner. It’s too cruel for them. I hope the director tells the story in such a way that I don’t feel any moral dilemmas. 😭

Any triangles? These days, I’m sceptical of the great payoff itself, as directors routinely skim it down and instead inflate the angsty phase in drama adaptations. Like I’ve seen where novel ending is wholesome and cute, but in drama adaptation it’s open for no reason whatsoever.
