I was thinking of watching it because of WCR and ZLH, but then I saw it only has a 7.4 on MDL, which is pretty low by MDL standards. Is it actually not that good? What’s the main issue people have with it?
On ep 1, and I can already feel my blood pressure skyrocketing. I'm going to get hypertension from thisðŸ˜
All the anger and frustration you’ll feel during the initial episodes will be more than worth it. The payoff is incredibly satisfying when Agent Kim and his homies are reactivated and brutally gives them exactly what they deserve.
I was lowkey expecting Wang Fa to whip out his QR code and ask Lin Wan Xing for ten cents at the end. It would’ve been such a perfect full-circle moment. But oh well! ._.)
Still, I absolutely loved the drama. Every single character somehow grew on me by the end.
Even if there are flashbacks, they don’t count as a proper arc if most of the leads’ interactions were already covered in the previous flashback that had the actual past arc. At best, they’ll just add some context about what happened after they separated. And flashbacks only take up a significant chunk of the story when the narrative keeps jumping between the past and present. That’s not the case here. Like Lighter & Princess, it starts in the present, goes through the entire past arc, and then returns to the present.
It’d be pretty obvious if the teenage arc were over. We’d see their last interaction, followed by a timeskip before the story jumps to the present-day adult arc. If that transition happens before they’ve permanently parted ways, then I’d say the teenage arc isn’t over yet.
Still, I absolutely loved the drama. Every single character somehow grew on me by the end.
