I thought about it for a while, and maybe it's because TJC usually comes across as serious, prim, and proper, especially due to his role in LMLMV. Here, though, his character is so childish and comedic that the incongruity makes it incredibly funny. (Incongruity Theory of Comedy)
She has an ex-boyfriend whom she broke up with in the earlier episodes. He still pops up here and there, but only for work-related reasons. He isn’t pursuing her anymore and is now busy being a gold-digger with his sugar momma. So there’s no triangle at this point.
And that’s coming from someone who finds love triangles absolutely repugnant, including pseudo-triangles where the second male lead keeps hanging around and acting as an obstacle to the main couple’s relationship. His face was AI-swapped, so his scenes are cut short anyway.

Honestly, I’d rather they get together later than get together early and then spend half the show breaking up over misunderstandings and miscommunication. And to be fair, I’m already seeing plenty of covert romance as it is.

His and his family’s scenes are supposed to be comedic, but they’re only peeving me, lol. They could’ve given more screen time to the FL’s other bestie’s relationship instead of JC and DY’s.
I’m absolutely loving the “feel like home” dynamic between the leads. Normally, I’m not a fan of bickering between the main couple, but here I’m actually enjoying it because neither of them takes it personally. There’s no ego involved. They just laugh it off and move on instead of sulking over it.
My spidey senses are telling me that QF is right on the cusp of developing feelings for LYF, if she hasn’t already.
Also, what’s going on with QF’s bestie and her boyfriend/fiancé? They’ve been together from the start. Do they stay together till the end, or is there some drama coming their way? Or is their storyline mostly just about them doing life together as a couple?
And what in tarnation is Jun Cheng doing? At this point, he isn’t borderline stalker-ish, he’s a stalker. Between him, his parents, and Dang Yu, I’ve had to skip a few minutes here and there, lol.
In the 4th episode, the ML’s ex-girlfriend says, “You can never take down your father.” Did she know who his father was? I thought she had no idea he was a second-generation heir?

I believe she'll have her own love line based on the released stills. That's just my informed guess, though, I haven't read the novel, so I can't say for sure.
