I just finished ep 8 and the fact that NF has been aware of his obsession with Zhi for the longest time… Why…
I’m now certain that only Zhi will have to take action to deal with him effectively. He doesn’t seem to be picking up on any hints, and her friend doesn’t seem willing to help her.
I'm sorry but between Fl's mom and Yiming if they don't stop being annoying real quick or either disappear then…
No, he’s grown immune to subtle hints of indifference. She needs to tell him explicitly for him to understand. As for his mother, I’m sure Yi Ming wouldn’t be so bold in his pursuit if she weren’t talking so much about their marriage. It emboldens him.

She told her to deal with him since he was returning from abroad, and I was like, what? Isn’t he your brother? Can’t you just tell him to stop pestering her since you clearly know she has no feelings for him? But no, she does nothing about it.
YiMing gets more and more on my nerves every second he's on screen. And he's also making me dislike Nan Feng.…
You took the words right out of my mouth about Yi Ming. I dislike characters like him. I have no issue with him liking Wei Zhi and wanting to pursue her, but he could do so without invading her personal space and boundaries. The least he could do is ask the parents not to discuss their marriage, especially since they aren’t even dating yet—that would be a respectful gesture if he truly cared for her. Instead, he stays silent and even seems pleased whenever those marriage talks come up, which only adds unnecessary pressure on Wei Zhi. But I suppose his pestering won’t stop unless she explicitly rejects him and tells him to leave her alone, since he seems to have grown immune to the hints that she’s not interested, haha.
You seriously misunderstood what happened. She didnt run away, she got fired and has a signed contract that legally…
I would have appreciated it if she had communicated the situation more effectively to her assistants, clearly explaining her future plans—such as visiting a ski resort for inspiration for her new snowboarding comic—instead of simply informing them that the team had been disbanded. Without that context, it may have seemed to them as though she had abandoned them, even though her later actions—apologising for not taking better care of her assistant and inviting her to work together again—show that this was never her intention.
Chongs friend group are not the national team. And I didn't really expect Shan to be in the office with Zhi, she…
As far as I remember, WZ only mentioned SS being her assistant and the theme of her new comic — snowboarding. Beyond that, she didn’t share the finer details of the story with SS.

Yes, she does live quite far from Wei Zhi, but her moving to a larger urban centre isn’t exactly unprecedented or something that would open some nasty pandora’s box. I thought she was quite determined to pursue a career as a mangaka, so she’s bound to work towards it. I figured they might have her collaborate with Wei Zhi in her office as part of her growth arc, but I guess I was mistaken. This is what I’m thinking — I’m way too invested in Shan Shan’s story, haha.
Is Shan Shan going to work remotely as an assistant? I thought she would be working in the office with Wei Zhi, like her previous assistants. That said, I can understand it — she hasn’t discussed this career path with her parents yet, so she wouldn’t be able to move to a foreign city on her own. Another question — are these disciples of Shan Chong members of the national team, or are they just hobbyists? I know Dai Duo is part of the national team, but I’m guessing they aren’t?
I am watching episode 25. I don’t think He Suye needed that guilt trip from the junior. There was no way the…
Let me share my thoughts on this. I believe he faced a role conflict — a clash between his duty as a doctor (to honour patient confidentiality) and his duty as a committed partner (to keep his partner informed, especially about family matters). Both roles demanded opposing actions, creating an ethical dilemma.
When he apologised, I don’t think he did so as a doctor, but as a partner — acknowledging that he couldn’t fulfil his responsibilities in their relationship. These situations are often lose-lose; fulfilling the obligations of one role inevitably means compromising the other.
I appreciated that Xi Fan understood this, despite how difficult it can be to think rationally in such an emotionally charged situation involving her mother’s well-being. She also apologised for not recognising his dilemma and for speaking harshly to him in the heat of the moment. A healthy relationship is not defined by the absence of conflict but by how those conflicts are managed.
No, there won’t be any breakup after they get together. :)
There was a minor kerfuffle that lasted about 10-15 minutes. Both of them communicated effectively, apologised to each other, and moved on. And there aren’t trust issues in their relationship. Both of them are loyal and committed to each other. :)
