i was so excited for this drama, watched a couple of episodes for things to get better..but it still remained underwhelming :( dissappointed

i went it hoping for this to be a decent drama with a great script, since IU was in the cast. i feel dissappointed. watched a few episodes waiting for the script to deliver but it didnt :(

one of the best releases that could happen. i actually rewatched it twice lol 🌻

yes he learnt the secret as he also had inherited shamanic ability just like saeng gang. he could also hear spirits. this ability was passed down from king's mother's bloodline. basically her grandmother ie kings mother could also hear spirits i guess. but not all of her grand kids would inherit it. in this case the saeng gang (fl) and the ak gwi (spirit crown prince) inherited it.

peak show!! really impressed , didnt expect much when i started. cast did an awesome job. loved how their relationship developed. bw all characters. the ml fl and the king. as well as others like empress dowager, kings mother, fl's mother etc.

but i must say interaction bw leads was everything loved it

the king didnt kill his sons. the crown prince (that became awk gwi) killed the previous 2 crown princes by poisioning them. and later when he became a spirit he killed the young prince.

the king killed him because he killed the previous 2 cps

for some reason i feel like this actress cannot act. but she gets cast for her visuals in so many dramas

this drama and plot could have been a masterpiece. but since my expectation was builtup from 2-3 eps onwards i started getting dissappointed. like what the hell did they turn the story into. this couldve been about how fl and ml cope living together while taking care of the baby as well as being young professionals just starting their career, but idk where the hell the plot went lol.

after she was driven out of palace the fl's mother wont be under the kings mothers watch. so she killed her when she moved out of palace.

while she was still in palace and married to the king, nobody would use her to reveal the secrets since the king and his mother would have more contraol over her life and keep watch and overall narrative i guesss

this was a surprise. one of the best dramas ive watched. the interactions bw leads is awesome. great performance by entire cast. action scenes are raw rough and real but really cool. was hooked right from ep 1. each ep is worth the watch.

yes he had poisoned earlier 2 crown princes, so he could become the crown prince. and after he died and became a spirit he also killed his younger brother ie the young crown prince. he was fixated on becoming the crown prince/king.

the current king didnt kell his brothers. his mother did so through the then court lady (saegang's mother). he knew what was going on but couldnt do much. later on saegang's mother was going to commit suicide by consuming poison, but he stopped her and married her maybe coz he thought his mother would kill her as she knew about poisoning the crown princes.

if we were to take a guess for s2 it could also be...
S1 in the 1st ep the king said the young prince was his last son (who also died later) and the king is obssessed with his bloodline only taking up the throne, so he wont let other ppl take the throne

so he could call the fl back to the palace since she is his bloodline and make her the heir. in the last ep or something gu cheon saw many spirits upon the throne like the kings that died, princes who couldnt become kings etc. so maybe in s2 when she comes to the palace and maybe takes the throne, gu cheon and her will deal with those spirits. since those spirits attack the reigning person or the crown prince etc

maybe she was still in palace when he was the crown prince when she was younger. later her father killed the crown prince and the heir next in line was named crown prince (the younger sibling)

the killings that happened 30 yrs ago were the ones of the current kings siblings.

the ghost crown prince had killed his own 2 siblings i believe (in the more recent years)

totally agree. DOORMAT behaviour. its getting tougher to keep watching, like seriously it feels pukish lol.
i just HOPE she doesnt start crying for him and caring for him and forgive him as soon as he gets hurt frm that freagging ladder.

Exactly, her te,per and reactions are fun to watch in all those situations.
but when it comes to this guy, the way she acts is weird to watch lol
