The “NEWS FLASH” on the screen “이즈마엘 무장 세력에 한국인 피랍...협상 전문가 급파” translates to “Korean kidnapped by Izmail militants...Negotiation experts dispatched” So yeah they had the correct perpetrator. Either Netflix or the subtitle writer pushed their own agenda or tried to get the drama in trouble by flipping it.
