Even the female students are a pain lol :DDDDD
From your comments you seem to be an andrew tate fan. How come none of your alpha sigma ligma bros have told you watching kdramas makes a man gay (according to them)? You need to avoid watching such shows if you want to be the true alpha sigma giga liga male. Stop watching kdramas and go watch more sigma ligma content.

I'm surprised. in the comments everyone admires the main character. He's literally a walking red flag. He constantly…
As someone who understands the appeal of the main male character, I'll explain.

In romcoms, a man like this is toxic and unlikeable. We like our green flag MLs. There are some that exist in enemies to lovers romcoms like Gong Tae-Sung and Mr. 💫 Aura 💫, but they're still pretty childish and likeable, just a little narcissistic sometimes.

However in the woman-centric domestic thriller genre, the man is usually a cheater who is with the wife for convenience. Examples: The World Of The Married, Wonderful World, Mine, Remarriage and Desires, My Happy Ending, and many more. A man being in this genre and actually secretly loving his wife and being loyal beyond reason appeals to dark romance, hopeless romantic, and escapism lovers. We KNOW he's supposed to be toxic and a red flag in this genre and expect it, but those little moments where he's a softie throw us off, and that's what makes him different from those other MBC drama men. It's just such a flip on that usual character.

Imagine Cha Eun-Woo smiling and saying those same lines in a teasing manner like "You're so clumsy :>" while wiping his FL's mouth, or "Don't think I'll make a move on you!" during a camping trip; hardly seems threatening now? Also this is how enemies to lovers usually is, not directly saying "I'd love if you to work alongside me" but "Accept it if you dare" and the woman accepts out of spite. It doesn't mean viewers like toxicity and abuse IRL and dream of it IRL, it's escapism as well as a whole genre of fiction to see the powerful, all-knowing man be soft for his woman. Of course he won't be a total cutie green flag, but it peeks through and those moments are fun to watch.

Calling this dark romance is ridiculous💀💀I used to see a lot of cringe and disgusting DR posts on insta…
Right?? This is like mild dark romance/makjang at best, they wouldn't survive DR books 💀

Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
If it's too uncomfortable for you, don't watch it. Watch cute romance, there's lots of those. She's not lying about…
He knows her mom tells her to "serve" him, and he doesn't want that. She's the mom's daughter, not the chairman's, so she's at a disadvantage in the family and she knows it. In his eyes, she does things because her mom tells her to to satisfy him. He wants her to love him for real, and is cold towards her because he thinks the marriage is a burden on her and everything is orchestrated.

You have to notice the little details like how he noticed her being nervous at the party, that her feet must hurt wearing heels, making her breakfast because she was about to skip it, getting her a job close to himself so he can provide better security after the kidnapping... if you watch carefully there are lots of little details thrown in showing he secretly cares for her and finds ways to help her. + He saved her from a marriage with an actual bad guy. It's not a black and white situation/character.

Um I dont know what direction this is planning to take. Shes lying about being mute and deceiving him. Where will…
If it's too uncomfortable for you, don't watch it. Watch cute romance, there's lots of those.

She's not lying about being mute, she has selective mutism, it's a psychological disorder where people can't talk in front of certain people as a result of a trauma response or freeze response. SPOILER: In the novel, he finds out and uses it to get close to her.

Some highly intellectual bloggers and "podcasters" are saying this drama is glorifying abuse and whatnot 😂 Never heard of dark romance in their lives. They're calling the "or should I" bit 🍇 but man literally thinks she's cheating and colluding with her affair partner to extort him??? And the kidnapper (who he assumes is her affair partner because of how easily he entered her car, not knowing about the hacking situation) just detonated a smoke bomb in his office space while he was there? Why would he not be doubtful and seething given the circumstances LOL

Oh Yeju made a splash in Korea and elsewhere when she unexpectedly appeared in the top 10 for the most buzzworthy…
It's a double-edged sword. While the young actors may attract viewers initially, they'll complain "the cute oppa/unnie they saw on insta isn't the real lead" and "it's some old guy/woman" (that particular audience wouldn't be familiar with JJH or JYM who a lot of us are watching the drama for, or they wouldn't enjoy stories about adults). Many people complain when actors play both their younger and older versions, but atleast it's visually consistent. The young actors are doing great, but only posting them on "x" and "tic toc" to promote the drama is a dangerous game.

Oh Ye-Ju’s acting range is insane, the cute sassy competitive student here, vs the bitter and angsty young Son Hae-Young in No Gain No Love, vs the distressed, withdrawn Ye-Seo in Gangnam B-Side who turns to the dark side seeking revenge. So young and already on top of her game!

We came to know that she was killed by Seong Hui and also buried in that bag by Jun Tae's father. But my doubt…
She found out what those two were up to and wanted a cut (of the money). She became a threat and could expose them.

Title Doubt Spoiler
We came to know that she was killed by Seong Hui and also buried in that bag by Jun Tae's father. But my doubt…
Seong-Hui wanted to frame Jun-Tae as Min-Ah’s killer. JT was drugged and didn’t remember anything. He figured he killed her because his dad was a killer too and he must’ve inherited his thirst to kill. In a state of panic, he called his dad for help, and his dad dismembered her and took it all in the bag to bury in the mountain.
