While I can value and appreciate your opinion, the more you know about the long standing Thai culture and traditions would help one to understand the clearer picture of the story line. The Ministry of Culture backed this series and as well as it going to the Cannes Film Festival this year speaks volumes. This was not supposed to be a typical fluffy play to the fans type of BL. It was about how the ancestors before sacrified to bring change for future generations. I will have a lovely day with my son, Arinchai, the Director. Good Day!!

The modern day characters were never the main focus. The present tied in the past was meant to show how those in that era sacrificed so those in present day can be and live as themselves with no threat of harm or death. The ending of the series is what you understand of it. In other words, those who understand Thai culture, regardless of the time frame, you get it. We, as viewers want the expected outcome and that is not always the case. This ending was meant as food for thought. To make you, the viewers dig inside their own souls to understand the complexity of the situations presented. Thai Culture has many honored traditions still held sacred, but new traditions brought to law by the those who sacrificed for future generations. So, for those of you who say there is no depth...read between the lines. My son, Trooper and everyone involved in the making of this series, put their souls into this project. The Masked Hearts series was presented this year at the Cannes Film Festival by invitation and it had more visitors than other sections. Now, having said all this, please take a moment to reflect that not all BL/GL series have the fairytale ending that is wanted. Sometimes, it requires looking past the fluff and understanding the emotionality of the entire presentation. As a mom, I am 1000% proud of the committment and dedication put into this series by all involved. Most have no idea what kind of toll these series take to finish and air. I am pretty sure that is why Great Sapol was introduced at the end. That is how they ended Season 1 with Mixx.

Hmm, my theory for episode 9 is that Pete filmed them. Pete wants Rome and knows that Rome likes Raffy. So, he spread the video thinking that Rome would be angry at Raffy. Pete is hoping that Rome would come to him. Just my thoughts.

My son is the director on this project and he asked me for my honest opinion. We had a great conversation about it and it makes perfect sense to me. At first, the timeline seemed a bit disjointed, but I get it now. I don't like how Rak's father is overly strict and concerned about appearances. It was an integral part of propriety for that time period. Now, having said all that, I am a tad biased. Everyone on this series worked their magic to make this a genuine, authentic time period piece that was tied into to the future. Every aspect of the series was thoroughly researched for historical accuracy and it has been brought to the table. Khon dancing is not easy and takes serious discipline to achieve mastery. The actors spent many hours practing this beautiful ancient art and have done it justice. My son put his heart, soul, long hours, not much sleep, and his whole heart into series. I am always amazed at how strong he is in every way. So, please watch the series, give it your honest opinion and enjoy! Per, Khun Mae Rak Ter!!
