I started off enjoying the concept of this drama and esp because I like the female lead. Then early in the series,…
I can't comment on what you call "queerbaiting" as I haven't seen the show yet, but you know bi people exist, right? A person can like people of any gender and that's perfectly valid.
This was really funny - making fun of the fake marriage trope and general soap opera stereotypes - but storyline that brought in the FL's dad kinda ruined it.
I would ignore the comments below. It's funny and I personally felt the chemistry.
The FL is also great - she doesn't fit into the usual mold, and it very much herself. Maybe that's why the commenters below didn't feel there was any chemistry? Because she wasn't timid and needing to be saved every 3 minutes?
This feels more like an advert for China's AI capabilities than a film. It's definitely designed with a Western audience in mind, with so many references or elements from prominent American space movies.
This show has such weird gender roles. Are all secretaries women in South Korea? And all managers men? And are they really expected to behave in such a demure manner? It pretends to be pro-women but actually reproduces a sexist fantasy.
The only relationships in this which had chemistry were the potential (but rejected) queer ones. This should have been a GL script because that would have fit the plot SO much better.
bcs they intentionaly reveal it.There are several masked characters that audience can not guess until reveal
During the Covid Lockdowns did you stop recognising people you knew because they wore a mask?
We can tell who people are from their gait, their eyes, their voice, their smells, etc - it's not just a full face. If a friend of mine put on a mask, I would be able to tell they were my friend. The idea that just a mask can disguise that is simply ridiculous. It's also ableist because it presumes that Blind people can't tell people apart either.
I am forever confused at how characters in cdramas can't tell who people are simply because they wear a mask, and yet we - as the audience - so easily can.
