I enjoyed this, but a little sad that Hariku ends up continuing to only dress masc after the scene where Haruka says she loves them in all of their gendered expressions. Saying that, I see this as a story of queer love; who didn’t cry when Haruka’s mum just accepts Hariku anyway because all she wants is her daughter happy? So many validating scenes, even if the plot was slow to start off with.
The FL's outfits in this are just awful. Who runs a business in a cocktail dress? Why not allow her some respectable clothing and she'd come across much stronger.
Not sure why this is rated so low when the comments show how solid it was, especially for a short drama. Good acting, interesting and convincing plot line, good pacing, and well directed.
I would’ve preferred older leads for this cdrama too. This is my 1st time watching any of these actors and I’m…
The plot is interesting, which is why I stuck through it. And there are some great side characters which are well acted.
(When Sa DingDing appeared, my heart melted and I couldn't not continue. But that's a whole other story...)
I wonder if the lack of expression has something to do with the use of AI airbrushing techniques? I know they use them to make the faces seem smoother.
Controversial, but I really think this is a good example of what shouldn't have been an idol drama. I would have preferred older leads too as they would have looked less polished and clean and actually believable. I do enjoy Chen Zueyuan's acting in other shows, but he seemed to innocent / polished for someone who's supposed to have experienced so much death.
I'm pretty sure Chen Heyi only had one face expression the whole time.
I’m on ep 4 and I don’t really know what the show is trying to communicate?.It seemed like an interesting satire of rich people in the first episode and then drifts into something a bit flat… The main leads have no passion, which would be fine if the plot was a dry satire, but it seems like it’s just heading towards the usual cliches . Dropping it, unfortunately.
Han Dong in verticals is odd. He’s actually a good actor, and this feels like a step down. It’s a shame he isn’t given main lead roles in longer dramas because he’s a far better actor than a lot of idol male leads.
I don’t think he suits minis, but that could be because I don’t tend to watch minis for good acting with complex characters, but more as a way to switch my brain off. Han Dong suits more complex roles.
And just to say - this is not to dismiss minis at all. Verticals have some great actors, but they serve a different purpose, I think?

I think all but the 3rd one are gone now. Unfortunately that’s got a lot of missing subs (about 30%).

I don’t really understand how this is rated to high. The fl fails the Bechdel Test in that her entire identity is crushing on the ml who treats her and her feelings like shit.
