I agree with you on that. Western dramas address issues related to the western culture, and kdramas with their own culture. But i have seen many fans furious recently due to seeing scenes and stories a bit different than how kdramas used to be:))

It's a matter of different styles and choices :) I have friends who watch Kdramas just for the fact that they are mild, fluffy, emotional, and without explicit scenes. If we look back, we can see that Kdramas were built based on such themes since many years ago. I'm not complaining though, yet since 2021, i have seen dramas moving towards the western direction ( Nevertheless, thirty-Nine, and now FLW) More mature-themed and it's actually quite diverse.
