Oh, in what ways does it seem more promising this time around? The only positive thing I have seen is that the actors want to do it. I have really bad anxiety about it possibly not happening π

You get me π
It's kind of amazing to realize how little of the novel has actually been adapted so far and how much potential there is to continue the story. If the show ends up not getting funding, I will probably get more disappointed than I ever have been before. I know some people have horror stories of their beloved shows getting cancelled but I can't even remember a story I ever needed to continue as badly as this one.
I'm currently reading the novel and I'm really enjoying it but instead of easing the pain, it's only making me want a season 2 EVEN MORE. The chemistry between Xi and Zhao cannot go to waste, Hong Kong really stroke gold with them πππ
I thought I was the only weirdo in the world that usually liked the before more than when couples actually get…
Right??? I almost NEVER meet anyone who feels this way. It's always "Omg I need them to get together really early so we'll have a lot of episodes in their honeymoon phase" and I'm just like... That sounds so boring and unfulfilling lol. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely don't want the characters to get together in the last minute. But that phase with the chasing, the yearning, the lust, the will they-won't they?? There's nothing better than that. Everything is (usually) downhill from there, with only a few exceptions.
To me, personally, the quality of a story almost ALWAYS drops once the characters get together (Yes, I might be weird but this is just how I feel... It becomes more boring, there's less yearning and less is at stake idk)
Now imagine my surprise when I watched FFL ep 6...
I don't feel any less excited about the story, there's not any lack of lust and yearning, it doesn't feel boringly predictable. FFL is just that good, I love it. I still pinch myself that we get 10 episodes of this π

So still, at this time, all we have is unconfirmed rumors π₯²
