My TV's WeTV and iflix apps are also having parameter error. Other apps are working. I had to use AirPlay from my laptop to watch it on the big screen. Been having issues with Tencent-owned TV apps lately.

Where can I buy an English version of the novel?

It's available on WeTV and iflix but only the first few episodes are free. You need to have VIP subscription to watch the rest, at least as of writing. You can also try Amazon Prime.
It's also available on MangoTV's official YouTube channel with English subs but some audio may be muted by YouTube's algorithm especially if a song is used that have been flagged by YouTube. I find this weird though when the production company paid for the rights to the music.

Saw the trailer on iQIYI. I'm currently watching One and Only

I prefer this. There's not much room for character in the Japanese adaptation since it's a movie. It's more faithful to the source material though.

The guys keep talking about sex. The girls whisper to each other about sex. They just love to talk about sex in this drama! 😂

And they kiss a lot. My friend and I kept count of all the kissing scenes. This includes kisses shared by the main and secondary couples. Please note that each scene may contain one long kiss or several consecutive kisses, so the actual number of kisses are definitely more than our count. We did not include quick smack and kisses on forehead/cheeks.

I did not watch this for the romance though, so I enjoyed it a lot, especially the formation of Ji Xiang Kong's team.
