I've seen all versions and this is my favorite so far. It's a more realistic take and the humor is more situational and not too slapstick. Some of the humor in the Taiwanese original version didn't land for me. The Japanese version is half-finished. The Thai version was so-so and the music is so annoying. I hated the way they turned the male lead into a caricature in the Korean version.
First Chinese drama I've ever watched after seeing it on Netflix. Enjoyed this drama, very refreshing and laid back. It doesn't try too hard. This got me hooked on Chinese dramas and now, I'm addicted.
Hmmm, I still definitely like the original one better. I mean for a Korean version it does it's part, but then…
I've watched all versions and I liked the Chinese version the most. The situations created to drive the plot were more realistic compared to the original and subsequent versions. Some of the Taiwanese humor didn't land for me and the narrative is too outlandish. The Korean version is the worst, they turned the ML into a caricature. The Japanese version only told the story half-way giving hint that there may be a season 2 so I'm still hoping for a better outcome there.
I hated the Korean version. They turned the ML into a caricature. I liked the Chinese version the best. The situations were more realistic compared to the over the top humor of the Taiwanese version.
I can't wait to binge watch this. Viki and Fresh Drama on YouTube are taking too long though... I'm tempted to pay for the membership fee on the Idol & Romance's YouTube channel.
So true. Her clothes were ridiculous, they dressed her like a 10 year old. It was probably done on purpose in…
They actually didn't need to because Yang Zi's acting, was so convincing. She was able to convey guilelessness and smart innocence that even my mom was fooled. I showed her clips of the BTS, and she saw that her real age shows when she's not in character. They could have just dressed her in outfits that matched the age of her character.
