Maybe not everyone is entitled to the truth but they did promise they'll leave together, that he'll wait for her. Promises were made.
I think he owes her the truth for that at least.
Or if he can't say or give the truth at least he shouldnt lie to her.

I guess i might have used the wrong phrase. Maybe riling or winding him up is a better term.

Anyway, their feelings for each other is real.
Otherwise why come back. He's the only reason why she came back.

I havent watched ep 12 &13, but from the comments it seems FL is stringing ML along?
I mean, even before he really couldn't say no to her.
But FL's action may be a petty revenge for the way he forced her to leave for college. It may be for her safety and she is better off attending a good uni, but she's stubborn and she would resent being forced that way.
But. Might change my mind after watching the episodes. Let's see. 😁

i liked it.
It's best to try watching a few episodes and see if it captures your interest. There's nothing wrong if you don't like it enough to keep watching it. There's too many dramas to watch to force yourself to watch a drama you're not enjoying.

I just finished it and i admit there was a lot fast forward or 1.5x or 2x (especially the 3rd cpl)
The main leads were really cute together. Even before they fell in love they were friends and that's lovely.

More than their wedding, I would have liked to see both father in laws meet and bond. Lyf meet his FIL. Lyf with a daughter. 😁

Splendid match was a surprise.
Mo Li is quite anticipated but i love the somewhat slow (?) pace and buildup.

I was just quickly going through the episodes.
I think ye li's feelings for mjl are a bit complicated. He was a dear friend and a senior in the academy, almost a husband.
I mean she does listen when he rambles on, lol.

So i think that's why she understands mxy and his decision to divorce her. she was in a similar position but for mjl.
Mjl was the cause of the death of the lishan scholars who escorted him. They know the order for him to go down the mountain was sus and dangerous, but it was their choice to escort him. He was also a boy who lost his family and was being threatened. Ye li understands all this, but she still hates him for the death and for the smear on their reputation.
So ye li can understand but she cannot forgive or forget. They would never be friends again, esp never lovers. Plus she knows his revenge is just going to cause chaos in their kingdom.
And that's why i also think she wouldnt blame mxy and forgave him immediately.

Ha! I was wondering about this too. Usually if there was a murder case they would thoroughly investigate the crime scene.
But it was mentioned, the bldg (something tower) was immediately sealed off. I can only assume that's the reason why it was still there. The assassination attempt on ye li was already enough evidence for the official that's handling the case to believe her innocence. I think that's the reason ye li was allowed out of the prison and bait that sui.
So since they have the confession from the actual murderer, i think it would be easy for ye li to ask and visit the tower so she can secretly retrieve the edict before they went to the royal court. Or may be it was her senior who took it for ye li. But i am not sure if they would have a chance to speak.
But all just my assumptions? Hypothesis?

It was the marquis who i think first mentioned that mxw couldve stalled and waited for the duke hua to arrive (this was when marquis was finally imprisoned and he was trying to deal with mxy and reveal the secret of who got the hidden edict from mxw)
The marquis saying that mxw could ve stalled for the duke's arrival implies this is a valid strategy for mxw to do.
However the dowager convinced ye li's mom to ask mxw for the location of the edict. Ye li's mother was confident that she would be able to help and resolve mxw's case. She heard her father (headmaster of lishan) together with several lishan scholars are coming to the capital to plead for mxw and his troops to be exonerated.
Both the duke and the headmaster are known for their uprightness. Even the marquis said that he would also trust the daughter of the headmaster.
Unfortunately, it was just a ploy to locate the edict and forcibly take it from yeli's mom by the ye family. This is what ye li told mxy too. His brother was waiting for the duke hua to arrive. So it's not really a theory.
Ye li's mom i think was too naive, w/c was sort of implied when she fell in love with ye li's father. Im wondering if she's like ye ying but less bratty.

But in the end, it's up to Ye Li whether he's forgiven or not. I think his presence there in the mountain, asking for forgiveness and his hair turned white was enough for Ye li. 🙂
