When he was gathering info from the neighbors, he was also interested when gossipy Kang said they havent consummated it. And when he saw the divorce certificate (?) he was smiling a bit. So definitely interested.
When will the old guy realize that her matrilocal hubby actually is his dear student? How will be his reaction…

He was also looking for fcy. They also talked abt as if she's 2 separate person, and asked xz to look for a possible husband for her. Old tao was miffed that xz married and didn't even tell him. He was surprised when he learned he was matrilocal husband but the novel really didn't dwell on it. Xz would ask his teacher to adopt fcy so she can have a good background, and that's when fcy's full name was mentioned. They stared at each other for a bit remembering how fcy described xz and how she described xz to old tao.
One more thing to anticipate is when uncle zhao meets old tao. Old tao was a bit grumpy when fcy prioritizes uncle zhao. But they eventually became friendly. 😁
Ep 20- 21 made me cry and laugh. FCY being a legend and a boogeyman to people who prey on vulnerable women. LHN'S small smile when he saw the divorce agreement. Unfortunately, in his dreams. He's really being set up as SML. He really wasnt that much of an sml in the novel, so it's sort of interesting The poor babies. Unfortunately they'll continue to be traumatized. Esp bao'er. At least changning would be saved soon. So excited that she has met old tao. I love their dynamic, even in the novel. That's one of the things i was unhappy with the novel was that we didnt see much of old tao, after adopting her. FCY crying when she saw the 4 stooges were hilarious and sad. Totally new since they were not in the novel. FCY And old Tao boasting and comparing the same person. 😂 Ehem the QM and YQQ in the pool. 👀The shippers are very happy right now.
