on episode 6: guys everyone on the mountain is dead right? Whenever she keeps going on about how well everyone is doing, I am like, "Why are we not getting faces to these names" and the fact she see's her maid (who is clearly dead). Is she so traumatized that she thinks everyone is still alive, or is she basically trying to save everyone the pain of knowing, so she is just being untruthful?
on episode 1: I am not sure if this is because I am coming back to CDrama after a bit of a break but is the video quality different? It seems grainy? (Intentionally shot like that?) Or maybe it's the lighting. I am not sure but something is off. There is some sort of texture/darkness to everything.
He didn't kill them though. (Not that he's not a psycho - he very much is, never stopped. He and the other crazy…
She made me annoyed. She kept giving the dummy prince all types of chances but did not give the empror any care when he was much tamer than Qi Min and honestly, he gave her some very valuable lessons about her brattiness and honestly, HER OWN CHOICES lol. I felt so bad for him at the end. He said he would never beg, and then he begged for her and their unborn baby's life :(
Totally agree about FH ending. lessened the remeberbility of the drama for me
Ohh! CPR, even though it was around, but even the academy dude didn't know much about it (in this drama's context), but he heard about it once and she just knew so well, so I think that, plus, of course, the resuscitation would not be common.
When she was first introduced, even I was surprised she had a kid but no husband in sight. But now that I think more on this, I remember she used to tell Bao'er he is destined for greatness, so I think she lowkey knew something was up in the future. Or else why would you tell ur son that when you are literally trying to hide his identity and live a normal life.
Was the dethroned empy acting with losing his mind- just to survive??? Made me curious when the Grand Princess…
I don't think so. He was a weak emperor since the start, and all the pressure, and I guess the torture, got to him. So I think he was already hanging by a thread, and then he snapped (his confidant, the eunuch, was killed in front of him too). They built him up such a weak character, so I don't think he was faking it.
Visually- an extremely soothing, pleasure to watch. Its cinematography is top notch, one of the bests in recent…
Yes! I lost interest when they started shifting more and more to the capital, and then the points were just skipping by. But I stuck with it because they had put a good base in the countryside, so I had to finish and try to understand. But I definitely skipped around towards the end.
Loved it! Of course there were flaws but I ain't gonna dwell on them, as with 40 eps, it'll be hard not to have…
Completed agreed! By the end, I was just skipping because even the big conflict didn't seem that big anymore to me, and when it was unwounded, I definitely got lost and had to read comments lol. All that aside, they had set a very good base for the show, and it mostly delivered.
Can anyone explain what the fake pregnancy with Consort Qi? Was it just that - A fake pregnancy? which made them all fired up, only to realize it was misdiagnosed, but then why did he still try to kill her?
He didn't kill them though. (Not that he's not a psycho - he very much is, never stopped. He and the other crazy…
It was random, honestly. With how many times he has gone and said to kill his kid, I don't think anything was redeeming his character. I honestly had hope regarding him and his brother too, but he disappointed as usual, and i for 1000% sure gave up on him.
Honestly, it took me embarrassingly long to figure out because I was like, " What is the point of leaving him hanging even when Qi Min is dying?" and then she just tells us "from a faraway place" and then 20 mins later I went, "she is from future or something cause duh she knew CPR" LOL
