What don't we know? We have seen where he lives. Through the landlord we heard the girls go after JQX and the landlord turns them away. We learned that he tutors and has to commute far to do so. We learned that he works at the construction site and makes good money but he gets a discount from the landlord for helping him with his account books. We have seen the cousin in the hospital and understand now that he JQX is working to pay the hospital bills. Now they leads need to reconcile once JQX stops thinking he must keep her out of life's struggles. Who knows. The deleted text message scenes might show up in flashbacks so then will know his thoughts as he read Ying Taos messages. And we saw the wall with all of his memories of YT etc.

Don't worry. It will not be too bad and they inject some humor here and there. I think one more episode to reconcile and then from there they wrap up.

Don't worry about the book. They will probably do a time skip to when she graduates from college and they get married.

I was nervous when there were two college roommate episodes but lets wait and see. I think ep 21 should have the fully reconciled but she has to go back to college. They might do a time skip to the wedding. I would be thrilled if they skipped again to showing us some children and their adult working life.

I asked the same.

And I agree about Ying Tao. She does not backdown.

I skipped most of grandpa scenes so I am guilty of not knowing what was going on with the second couple. I was lost in the scene where they drove somewhere out in the country. I didn't understand any of it because I only watched the leads.

I heard that too. He is always so comfortable with Mai Mai. It so good to see them together.

I had a feeling the director was going for a certain angle with the mystery of the HK arc. Also, I watched TFF and the technique of holding back the details till even at the very end was used. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those deleted scene show up in the last few episodes as flashbacks. The complaint that details were left out so people could not connect did not hold true for me. Even if I didn't know why JQX didn't tell Jing Tao that he was leaving, I knew there was a good reason and he didn't want to leave her. By having him steal her necklace in ep 15 rather than during childhood as someone said was in the book, it had more of an emotional impact for me. I feel the director used emotions rather than plot details at time and it worked for me. I am not one of the people who were angry at JQX. I felt too emotional about his suffering and watching him in ep 15 hold back tears while he told Ying Tao his dreams of their future made me hurt for him. It is too bad some were too disappointed about the novel changes.

I also feel some are also upset about the news going around that ZLH scenes were deleted and that has turned them against OG. I would also have liked this drama to have reached more fans in a positive way. But when some refuse to allow that to happen for themselves do to grievances there in nothing to do. I am still seeing derogatory comments about ep 19 and 20. Even the comments that they want to see this drama end not because they want to see the ending but because they want it over and done with are from those most upset about the situation with deleted scenes.

I know several men watching cdramas. You are not alone! One told he watched them to help his speed reading due to subtitles.

I haven't read the novel yet but I will. And I have never hated JQX because I know how much he needs and loves Ying Tao and how hard it was for him to leave her. I had to smile when she told the landlord she was not leaving😂 I love this fl.

It would probably never happen again but I hope for a 3rd collaboration. They are so natural together.

Episodes 19 and 20 did not disappoint. My only disappointment was when ep 20 ended and I still have to wait for 21 to see more progress on he HK arc!

Yes. It was heartbreaking the way she kept calling his name from the shower and the way she panicked when he had to go somewhere.

And how has he grown! But when JQX said they have grown up, it was reality.

They have chemistry on screen and off. Ling He seems to look for her in between scenes and you will see him with his arm around her shoulders just hanging out. I saw a comment somewhere further down saying they don't have chemistry. I scrolled by. No point saying they do in that case.
