Same! I am rewatching right now and paying close attention to everything.

I put this on hold so many times and kept going back due to comments about hot chemistry. It was frustrating because I wanted to like this modern drama with Xu Kai. I have never been able to enjoy a romance drama with Seven Tan and tried with this one. I had some idea that Xu Kai would make it better but no.

My take on the FL is that she has all her pain locked up. It was the only way she could cope. But she is starting to open up. I was glad to see her share her feelings with her bestie. Sang Yan shows his emotions through the way he tries to help her and expression in his eyes. I am moved by the yearning I see in him when he looks at her. I felt his pain when she broke his heart because he was shocked. I find myself loving Sang Yan so much. I think she will start to open up to him soon. What she did while sleep walking shows her feelings for him even if she doesn't show it while awake. It is still early in the drama and we need to give it time to develop. I am sure once Yi Fan starts to open up, people will start to feel more emotionally connected with her. I am hoping to watch ep 11 soon if Netflix releases it later today.

How do I explain... He sees her pain and he knows some of what she went through but not all of it. He knows there is something going on with her. He doesn't push her to tell him, and he does everything he can to help her without expecting anything from her. He is willing to wait. He shows self control. He is selfless. Think of him like the the FL in L&P who put herself in the same company as Li Xun. Deep down she knows he still cares for her even if he acted as if he didn't. She was simply there giving him support unconditionally because in her heart she never denied her love for him. On the outside Li Xun acted indifferent and while the FL didn't outright fight for him, she never gave up on him. She chose to be close to him waiting.. But in TFF, Bai Jing Ting's performance adds to this. You have to watch to see. I admire you for waiting to watch. I could not resist once I saw him.

I am still trying to sort it through my mind and will probably do so once this ends.

Oh that should be good! I hope you are not just saying this because of the book and it doesn't happen in the drama. I would be so disappointed.

Great character analysis. I look at her as someone who has locked up her emotions to survive. I can see her starting to open up and I love the way Sang Yan takes little steps to help her feel she is worth it. He might not know everything she has been through but in the drama he saw her mother reject her and he heard what her aunt said about the chicken soup. But my heart also goes out to Sang Yan as I can see his pain from the time she broke his heart. He can see that she needs love and she needs comfort, but he knows she will reject any direct help. I am sure she knows what he is doing with all the "help me eat this or help me carry groceries etc..." Even if she doesn't admit to herself that he is doing it for her because she is worth it, she knows deep down that he didn't accidentally cook too much food. After all, the chicken soup was "specially" for her.

It feels like 10 mins. I literally check the time bar because I don't believe it.

As one who absolutely love L&P, I can tell you I love TFF. When I recommend L&P to others, I can never understand when they don't love it the way I do. But there is a member here who still has them in her profile after watching on my recommendation!

The thing with the Sang Yan is his enduring love for the FL. It was the same for the FL in L&P that she put herself close to Li Xun even if he wanted her to believe he was not interested. I get a sense of L&P from this. It is not exactly the same but something reminds me of L&P.

BJT is perfect. Because of him I don't know if I can love another ML as much as I love Sang Yan now....Well, I know I will but right now...I love Sang Yan/BJT!

I didn't read the first 28 chapters. Should I go back? Is it worth it as I have already seen that part in the drama. I don't know if I need to read it to establish how they were when they went to school together and to understand how she was viewed as beautiful etc. I get the sense that girls were jealous of her.

The link for the book started on chap 29 I think and I read from there. I know I can go backward but I wanted to see what happened with the sleepwalking, so I might need to go back to read. From the drama I got the impression she was considered beautiful, but I have to admit I have a bit of a hard time feeling convinced because her features are not striking. While she would not have been my first choice visually, I am loving this drama so much and feel for her character. I like her voice and acting in this and hope her character will open up to Sang Yan soon so I can feel more on her end. Right now I am feeling Sang Yan's love and yearning for her to accept and trust him. I can see she is starting to open up. I hope I am expressing myself without offending anyone.
