I usually binge-watch series once they’ve finished airing because I hate waiting for new episodes each week. But after episode two of Kidnap aired, I couldn’t resist—and now I’m impatiently waiting for Fridays.
The kidnap plot is lighter than I expected, but considering it’s GMMTV, that’s not too surprising, haha. While I generally enjoy the kidnapping trope, the plot does have its share of holes and silly moments. That being said, I’m not watching for a mind-blowing story anyway (GMMTV rarely delivers those in my opinion)—I’m here mostly for the actors.
I love Ohm, and Leng has really grown on me after watching just a few videos of him. He genuinely seems like such a sweet, hardworking, and positive person. It’s clear that he still has room to grow as an actor, with certain scenes showing his inexperience—especially in conveying deeper emotions like anger or sadness—but there were moments where he really surprised me too. He really excels in expressing affection, like in the trailer where he looks at Ming with such love in the car when they are about to kiss or that scene on the bed together. It feels authentic.
Leng does need to expand his emotional range, particularly in emoting with his eyes and balancing between underacting and overacting. But I really admire his dedication to his job—it’s clear from the behind-the-scenes footage that he takes acting seriously and wants to improve. I’m rooting for him and I am excited to see where his career goes. I just hope he never loses that smile on the way.
As expected, Ohm is solid—he’s more experienced, so it’s no surprise that he’s delivering. I just wish the script were a bit stronger.
Overall, I’m looking forward to seeing how the remaining episodes unfold, both in terms of the acting and the story.
Oh well, if it's not for you, then it's not for you. It's a pity you didn't enjoy KinnPorsche, but to each their own. I didn't really like the 'Porsche's mother is still alive'' plot twist either tbh.
I'd have to disagree on the bad acting statement, though. Especially when I look at some other Thai Bl's where the acting is quite bland. The KP actors worked hard, put in their all, became the characters and in my opinion they delivered. And even though Bible (Vegas) is a first time actor I haven't seen ANY bad acting from him at all. No stiffness, no dead expressions or blandly delivered lines. Of course there is always room for improvement, but horrible? That's quite harsh.
As there are so many symbols and no coincidences in this series I feel like we need to talk about this scene:…
Bruh, aside from analyzing deeper meanings and all, I feel so bad for those fish if that's the aquarium he keeps them in 24/7. If I remember correctly there's no plants, no decoration and such whatsoever?? :')
Why are all the scenes with Mu Rong Li and Zhi Ming cut!?!?!?!?!? *CRYING* Every time they have a scene the screen suddenly fades to black? Does anyone know where uncut episodes can be watched?
Anyone know the name and artist of the end credits song? It's just so beautiful
I know right! I think it's a very beautiful song too. If you haven't found it already:
Name of the song:
朋友
Name of the artist:
張祿糴
I searched my ass of tryna find the romanization of the artists name, but sadly I can't find it out :/ I think the title of the song is 'Friends', but I'm not sure about this either, because I used google translate and we all know you can't trust Google translate most of the time. Sorry I can't be of more help :( Let me know if you found something out already!
I do like the separate music video for the song they uploaded. It’s shot and edited very beautifully
