I think you misunderstood her . She actually found her identity through the ML. Till she met him , she was her…
I tried to think that way and I still don’t get how she just moved from being her mom’s puppet to the ml’s puppet. She made all of her decisions around him. She knew he wanted his revenge. She wanted him to succeed but only with her help. She was forcing him to trust her and confide in her and use her help whereas all he wanted was to keep her away from his mess. If she was really just determined she would have supported him from the sidelines but she was looking fir his attention all along - which was what annoyed me.
I am on episode 31 so nearing the end but I am finding it difficult to tolerate the fl. I mean she seems yo have zero absolute zero self respect. If you call it “devotion” then she should just shut up and trust him. She’s going on pestering him and nagging him whereas he keeps pushing her away. She knows he’s trying to take back his company- either she should leave him alone and go back or just stand in support with some trust. It’s like she’s forcing him to take her help and to talk to her when he clearly doesn’t want to.I liked the story from the flashbacks but it’s quite incredible post that. I do like how Old Gao’s character has been phased.
Am at episode 7, I finally understand why this drama keeps raising questions for me.If we examine the FL’s actions…
True! I felt her behaviour was awful initially. Good thing the series acknowledged (from episode 7 onward) that she had tons of mental issues and was behaving pretty irrationally. Also, she met the ml once and that too while trying to win her ex back - and 2 minutes later she’s literally stalking him. Didn’t make much sense how she’d be that deeply in love.
I am on episode 4 and am enjoying the series but I don’t appreciate how clingy they’ve shown the fl to be. I mean the ml has been polite and tolerant but very clear from the start. She just forgot about her ex in an instant, plus she’s struggling with so many issues but still manages to literally stalk the guy no end. She keeps trying to find meaning in his actions even though she knows he’s in love with someone else. I would understand if she was trying to get him to move on but here it’s more like she’s burdening him with her misery. The fl is proving the comment from the restaurant lady about her being lonely and using herself as a victim to hold on to others. I wish they show her strength in the coming episodes.
Gkad to know there are others with brains…the fl was simply a princess. There was no character growth, nothing much in the story, no challenges to face, no struggles…just a lot of staring and repetitive scenes…even professionally no setbacks and nothing to overcome…
Well, you paid attention to him. He was angry at first because she didn't remember him; it just gave him more…
I understand him actually…he’s angry and hurt so he’s giving her the extra attention - in good and bad ways both. He cares for her which is quite visible to everyone. What I am having trouble with is why the fl would be so responsive to him. From her perspective, she’s in a new job and trying to prove her worth without her parents. Ideally, she’d want to stay clear of mixing up with her boss and getting any extra attention especially after she realised their parents are friends/partners etc.
Probably an unpopular opinion after seeing so many great comments…I am on episode 11 and I really don’t get the fl so far…she’s just been moved from “Finance to Administration “ like there’s no difference, being over worked by her boss and then finds it absolutely normal to go shopping and to a wedding with him, not to mention him driving her to her home etc…all this within 6 months of graduating! Now if my boss did all this, I’d definitely be super uncomfortable. If she had feelings for the guy, I would have understood but she has no romantic interest on him (so far) and is still happy to be linked up and joked about in office, the hospital , wedding everywhere. This isn’t even gradual - just like stalkery behaviour from the boss!
I am mid way through and unlike many opinions here I feel like this one is a true enemies to lovers romance. They truly do start off as enemies where the fl keeps meddling and ruining things for the ml and he in-turn hurts her exactly as one would expect to. It’s refreshing to see it as opposed to dramas where it’s forced enemies (CEO and a jr employee etc). Plus there is absolutely no special connection which holds either of them back when they’re fighting during the start. There is genuine distrust and dislike which makes sense. Their relationship growth is also very gradual without just falling into each other’s arms all the time.
I believe they handwaved it with "By burning my life force, nothing is impossible".But tbh since Rumu…
Yeah…I do wish they had explained it better…his dad or Rumu could have passed it back to him upon their death…Even the dragon qi wasn’t explained too well unfortunately.
This is supposed to be “sword and beloved” implying some dilemma between duty and love but where’s that deep heart wrenching love???!!! Was so waiting for this after watching Love and redemption, Immortal Samsara
