Well dang. Another excellent episode. I don't know what to expect for the ending. I want Dong ju to survive it all. I am going to miss this show. I've enjoyed every bit of it. All the characters are flawed, and I found it refreshing in way of storytelling. My only downer is how they handled the character of Eun Nam thus far.
For those who may want to watch this show, I would suggest you pay close attention because there are so many moving parts and intricacies. It's easy to get lost. Looking forward to the final episode tomorrow.
Oh that was just too good. I wonder what the comments were on the Live Stream. LOL Episode 14 ranks as one of the better episodes on all levels. I don't know how this will end, but I want Dongju to survive it all and go off into the sunset...without the FL. :)
ep 13 ....... loved it! loved it! loved it!- what scenes!!! ... so ..... at the beginning when Tae Yun came to…
Exactly. Well said. This was such a great and emotional episode. The actors, especially the 3 male leads are incredible. As for Eun Nam, at this point, why?
Wow. I don't know what to say. This was a really good episode. Tragic, infuriating and sad. Storywise, these are some broken characters. Il Do was a puppet who became a murderer due to greed. That last scene with Dongju showed glimpses of what could have been. It also showed who IL Do could have become. In saving Dongju, he did what he wouldn't do the first time and lost his life. Earlier, Dongju said there wasn't a chance for the two of them, yet there was this yearning that he portrayed. There is so much to unpack...this episode just left me feeling sad at what could have been between the two of them, and enraged at Yeom for manipulating everyone. Greed is a killer of the soul.
In real life, I wouldn't have anything to do with these people, family or no.
Will someone write me into this script so that I can kill Yeom and partake of the Kopiko coffee candy? With that said this is becoming more interesting as it unfolds. I'm glad that we didn't't know the details of the story in the early parts of the show. I am also glad that there isn't much romance in this story.
To be honest, I would be surprised if the ML and FL ended up together. Something about their relationship has changed over the course of the show...unless I'm missing something. He cares about her, but I don't sense that early yearning that was present in the earlier episodes. As I watch, I even find myself not thinking about them much.
The poorly played chess game is between Donju, Yeom and Il Do, and it is entertaining to watch. I love this show, but one has to pay close attention otherwise it's easy to become lost.
I don't know what to think at this point. This episode blew my mind in a good way. But I do hope this: Someone needs to order some white trucks with a side of goons to take out some villains. Writers please let ML have his day going forward. No more beat-ups, near strangulations etc. Eliminate II do. At the end, send ML and FL into opposite directions. The past is the past. May the two never meet again. Oh, and let him keep the money. :)
Great acting by ML. Poor storyline and writing. Lots of stereotypes regarding faith. Yes, there are religious wackos out here, but like really...He had some mental issues. Also, the way he pastored the mom with the missing daughter had me rolling my eyes. Talk about poor training. LOL This could have been a good movie but it was all over the place.
This is so good. The tragedy with its messy twist and turns is almost comedic. Dongju has so many lives. They can't get rid of this dude. As Yeom said, "He ate that cookie knowing it had cinnamon in it makes him ruthless." Most people may think the Dongju character is weak because he keeps getting beat up. True, he is not a skilled fighter as we would expect in a drama. He's more strategic and engaged in a chess match, while holding the money cards in a bowl surrounded by bloodthirsty vipers. There is an untold story around this character, and why Yeom hates him so much. I am waiting for the reveal. I could not connect the dots with the photo.
I am beginning to suspect that Yeom's loyal attack dog is not what he seems. I could be wrong.
With that said, Huh Joon Ho is an exceptional actor. May his character experience a pair of white trucks. I also like Park Hyung Sik acting in this role. His character is not perfect, yet it is a mature character that fits him. Basically everyone is doing an exceptional job. I do wish we knew more about the female lead character. Maybe then I could find some likeability.
I hope the writers do not lose the story. I would also be fine with an ending where the FL stays with her husband and Dongju rides off on his bike to start afresh...with a boatload of money of course. :)
Confession: I was hoping the 'hitman' would succeed in the mission to off the female character. But we can't always have good things. LOL
This show gets better and better. I still have a few questions. However, it is slowly beginning to make sense ...as each piece of the puzzle is revealed. However, my white truck candidates are: Yeom and all his goons, Heo, and EuNnam. For me the Donju character is shaping up to be more interesting then in the beginning ( He appears to have more than 9 lives). There is a lot that is untold about him and his family. I hope the writers don't mess this up. So far so good.
By the end of the episode, I was ROFL because ... well you have to watch. This is getting good. Episode 3 clarified a whole lot. Let the games begin. Dongju, as imperfect as you are, I am rooting for you, man. Give it to them good. I will say that I am still not invested in the character of the FL. Maybe that will change going forward as more of her story is shared. However, I do love the chemistry between the two main characters. JHS is on my shortlist of being one of the best fake kissers around. For those who are uncertain, watch all 3 episodes before trashing this drama. Right now, based on 3 episodes, I would give it a 9/10. I like JHS in these mature roles. Enjoy.
I want Dong ju to survive it all.

It's about time and may he 'f' them all up.
Nothing but villains and murderers. All of them.
This show is just DELICIOUS. LOL
Since it is fresh out of the gate, I will give it a chance with a few more episodes. Hopefully it gets better.
