I SUPER LOVE this series and I hope they do more seasons with the same cast. I'm a bit sad that not many international viewers know about it, but at the same time have the urge to gatekeep it, as sometimes negativity comes with fame.
This show is raw, authentic, fun and healing. They picked the right casts.
I have always adored Kian's unique personality, this show made me appreciate him even more. He's such a genuine person.
With SiEon, I also have a soft spot too. He always seems to me a person who doesn't have a big ego and is humble.
Admittedly, I wasn't a Dex fan during Single's Inferno. But this show made me see him in a different light.
Pani Bottle, I didn't know anything about him before this. But I immediately liked him the first moment he appeared in India and was very considerate and sat on the edge of the tuktuk cab.
The panel in the studio are also amazing.
In normal shows like this, the panels always tries to nitpick and make fun of the members. But here, the panel makes funny comments without bringing any of the casts down. They are also sensitive in addressing culture differences. This makes the show healing.
It is not loud, it does not try too hard, and yet you feel each episode is packed with fun, curiosity, chaos and heartwarming moments.
Kudos to all who built this show.

If Jin and Ye-eun are not coming back, I hope they reunite Kian with his ABA brothers (Dex, SiEon and Pani Bottle). 🙏✨️

I still think about how Dex washed Kian's clothes in the river, did he also rinse it there? Because I think that water is dirty, I see trash floating around. I wish they also showed it

Idk if it's just me, but I feel like this is less exciting than season 1. I'm on ep7 and aside from the monk I can't remember anyone. Compared to s1 where early on they can make you root for an individual, here I feel less concerned who wins.

I had the same observation. I think this was a conscious decision taken by the producer and the writer. They seem to be clear now on which direction they want to take this show. The overarching elements that were present in S1 and in the original material took a backseat. Seems the show is now being used to mirror real life society issues and giving hope and happy ending. It's kinda formulaic at this point, but it works and will give the show unlimited plot materials for longevity. I guess adding an element of pursuit from government justice system knowing they will just outsmart them each time will be tiring. Plus, with how sensitive Korean government is, if they want this show to last (specially since they are showing real life inspired cases), they should not always highlight how incompent or selective the justice system is. Better just keep the show fun and focus on the team and the villains.

I wonder how the father with 2 sons is doing. The reveal about his situation was so unexpected. I cried a lot on that episode.

I found it weird that they never mentioned him ever again. I hope they are still on good terms and he can be on future shows.

The totem pole actually has an explanation. JP did finish the challenge with partially engaged pins, they were just edited out. I think Netflix handled it well and protected their integrity. I love team JP but who knows what went into Okami and Katsumi's head on why they didn't report it immediately. And tbf with KR, after SeungGil and Minjae let go, the totems did drop. So I think they are clean there.
It's just really with the castle conquest challenge that is questionable. I wish they release more scenes to put everyone mind's at ease. If that was a clean win, it's also not fair for the Korean players that they were being slandered. So I hope Netflix release official statement or special episode.

I'm not questioning KR's ability to finish that in 17mins. But it's really puzzling to me how JP was not able to finish within an hour. They were literally on the gate for 45mins. And this is a team that is not only strong but strategic. I get it that they might be behind when it comes to raw power and weight and they might struggle more, but that task shouldn't be impossible for them. They were able to lift it already halfway thru and then it's just stucked. I have always defended this show when people say it is rigged, but today I have some doubts whether the gate's hinge were jammed or something. The only consolation I have is it seems the team accepts it and there is no indication whatsoever of foul play (or it was probably written in NDA 🥲)

I'm not saying it is intentional. But it seems many details are flying over viewers head. Logically, it is puzzling why Japan did not report it. But who know what's running in their mind or how the totems really felt to them. But it is also true that if Netflix didn't leave it vague, people would bash them. Seeing how only few people caught on that JP was there for 40+mins and people were left and right praising them for honesty whereas creating conspiracies for Korea. JP did benefit from the way it was edited.

And no, there is no adrenaline or anything on their 2nd try. They didn't even try, they literally only held on for a few seconds. Because the moment Itoi won the sack relay, Turkey is already going home.

The whole thing is a situation that luckily ended well. If the totem points was a deciding factor, I'm sure there will be some rumors circulating.
I know for a fact that Turkey were upset they didn't get to redo the totem. But Netflix made the right choice, it would be unfair for Mongolia if they redo as they already did so well.

It was partially engaged. Maybe if they are pulling, they really did carry the weight. But if they let go, the totem will not drop.

Only one pin. After rewatching, I can 100% confirm they did finish the challenge. It was probably discovered after they let go and then one of the pole did not fully drop. The interview was also telling, Katsumi said when the challenge started "there is nothing in their mind other than to hold on". Sounds to me like a bit of an excuse on why they didn't bring it up early. Anyway, I still like team JP, Itoi carried them in the sack toss that the totem challenge doesn't matter anymore.

I'm saying it now and not just because I'm rooting for them.
But I think Team Japan will be the WINNER.
The way Netflix protected their reputation in the totem pole issue is very telling. Seems they do not want to give room for any scandal that will smear their victory.
Thank goodness those totem points are irrelevant afterall.

Katsumi and Okami were not watching. Only the 4 JP players, so makes me think they were in the totems the whole time and only edited out.

Also the rope challenge was shot another day so it wasn't really a factor.
