If it's well-written & has a cohesive plot, then I don't mind anything :) It looked quite aesthetically pleasing and so I really hoped the writing & acting was good as well. Thank you!
I seems like this will be 12 episodes like Lunacy since there's no mentions of ep 10 being the finale. At the…

I would argue that it isn't really "good" in the sense that it absolutely pulls the viewer out of the story because of how distractingly bad it is. As a last-minute life saver for the production team? Perhaps we can call it good then.
I might have to rewatch this, I remember really enjoying it when it came out. Went in expecting it to be only fluff, and while it WAS a sugary-sweet show, it also had its more sober and pensive moments. All three couple had their unique issues to work through, but all were good people.
I understand your sentiments, but this drama is based on a real-life case. The case is famous in South Korea for…
Yes, it is based on the same Hwaseong serial murders case. However, Memories of Murder was made much before the real killer was identified. This drama is the first one made after the truth of the whole situation was exposed.
Not sure if you're aware, but this is based on a real-life case. The "shady characters" walked away scot-free…
I also wondered why they didn't show us the girl's body being found. A definite issue there. However, I thought it was shown that the owner of the pub was the one who moved her body, along with one of his lackeys? Unless I missed something.
If I remember correctly, the culprit is in the middle of an attempt on another woman but gets chased away, and this is how he comes across the girl sleeping in her room. It is quite clear that the one in the field is the same one who commits this crime as well, as a way to satiate his interrupted urge to kill. As a side note- the actual killer did not only target women in their 20s, the victims were aged from young teens to around 69 I think.
i think lee heejun did an amazing job portraying the painful internal conflict that cha si yeong faced between his affection for taeju and his all-consuming need for validation and love from his father. the tragedy of their friendship broke my heart, because it seemed that deep down both of them still loved each other, even if it was just a tiny bit.
Superb acting by Park Hae Soo.The writing is weak. I felt that the story tries to create engagement by constantly…
I understand your sentiments, but this drama is based on a real-life case. The case is famous in South Korea for exposing the injustice and flaws in the system, and so this drama essentially focuses on that, rather than being a typical whodunnit. In real life too, the bad guys escaped. To rewrite that part would be to disrespect the actual victims and people involved, who suffered for years. The bitter aftertaste and discomfort is precisely what the show goes for :)
The series had a brilliant build-up, and the suspense was top-notch, and just enough melodrama, but the finale…
Not sure if you're aware, but this is based on a real-life case. The "shady characters" walked away scot-free in real life too. This show aims to show us just how unfair and flawed the system was at that time. I'm curious as to what the major mysteries you felt were left unanswered are?

Why do you not think it was him?
