Lol unexpectedly if you get by the confusing beginning this was actually a decent plot to follow. Low budget was obvious indeed, acting not all there but story line was engaging.
-Kid felt the bad guy’s pain during cursing when she was young but not years later??? -Evil Shaman sensed & bowed to chairman evil spirit on first meeting but she can’t sensed the same on the kid 🤦🏻♀️ : In fact she knew what the kid was yet still insulted & tried to kill her knowing she’s serving the spirit in her -Same goes for the Japanese shaman: He literally bowed to chairman but neglect to fear the kid 🙄 -Police husband could have fixed everything by just getting the IT guy to delete the program or all the names of the cursed ppl, he had plenty of time for it since he got back to the event in plenty time & watched the transfer of the spirit …..Evil spirit would have then possessed the tree with nothing else & probably die from having no more energy since he won’t be able to live off any direct curses.
And I get that they’re trying to pave the ending for a 2nd season but that’s some seriously bad writing….can’t get any more blandness than that. Struggled & skipped through to watch the outcome only to be disappointed in such a quick, boring & unsatisfying ending 😩
massive age gap? they have MAYBE a 5-7 year difference in this drama. MingLan is 8 in episode 1 and he's maybe…
Right! I’m assuming she thinks being a parents automatically makes you old…since ML was one before courting FL 🤦🏻♀️ Their romance is realistic especially when FL herself was raised by a grandma that adopted her stepson (FL’s Dad). Lessons are taught here….some special cases blood ain’t thicker than water
Isn't the ML in Dollar Lawyer Nam Goong Min? I haven't seen it yet. Is it as good as this drama?
Yes…Nam Goong Min’s lawyer character made an appearance in Taxi Driver offering help & recommendations for clients & he’ll split his fee with Kim Do ki lol Kim Do Ki was like “but your fee is only 1 dollar?”
I wouldn’t say it’s as good as this drama….Taxi Driver has a lot more going on but their vibes are similar. They both seek justice & great helps for people who most often can’t afford to. They’re both wrapped up nicely with serious topics & comedy not to mention Leads went through a traumatic loss that made them changed their whole outlook. Like I said in my 1st comment they’re literally the same kind of people.
REACTIONS WHILE WATCHING EP 2(don't read if you haven't watched it yet)MR. CHOI & MR. PARK go to Vietnam to help…
The cop thing is based on location…..the resumes sent & victims picked would clearly be in his area if the family were to report. It’s clear as well he holds a higher position than just “cop” since he wasn’t the one who initially took the case but somehow ends up his in the end & took over. I remember the father already reported it multiple times till he ends up doing another report with that ‘cop’ listening nearby. The 2 who left for Vietnam followed the clues of the missing son on report by father….same direction as ML but different approach…in their case a spontaneous unorganised one hahaha The Goons vans I don’t think would be a big deal as it could simply be a precaution step they always have. As for the fighting lol that I do agree was a bit much but it does add entertainment to cheer on such an unbeatable Lead 😆
Dollar lawyer (another great drama) & reporter should join forces with the team for some future cases in Season 3 plsssssssssss!!!! They are literally the same kind of ppl 🤗
It’s clearly written that way….I mean ppl should know that considering the amt of screen time he was getting for a random character. And good looking, overly nice but curious characters that enters the drama on suspicious timing are often the bad ones.
I'm trying to slog through this, in ep5 now and it feels so slow and boring. I guess there's a very good reason…
I would love to say you can skip the beginning but it does show important progress for later on… this is one drama I can honestly say trust the progress. It’s well worth it. 🤗 Don’t worry it took me 3 tries until I finally make past 15 eps & now it’s my number 1 go to drama…my watch list states I’ve watched nearly 500 dramas only gave 10 rating to 9 dramas as of date, so this being number 1 of them all says alot from me.
My guilty pleasure is popping in this comment section every now & then and read comments of people who finally took courage to tackle this masterpiece & finally realising what they were missing 🤗 For those still hesitant…just think of it as a normal 34 eps C-drama…just soldier through 34 eps and then move on….or like many here, you will never go back lol Don’t mind the ppl who never makes it past that point & comment their dislike because thats where the addiction starts…so prepare to loose sleep after it cause you most definitely won’t be able to help yourself. The Leads here are probably the most brilliant couple ever written in any drama & their chemistry in real life is also noticeable once they accepted each other. I still loose sleep when I re-watch this 😩
I need someone with enough courage to sale me theirs so I can have enough to be able to go through 78 episodes.…
The same reason why I hesitated & restarted this drama 3 times before I finally made it past the 10-15 or so eps. Upon finishing I honestly feel like 78 is not enough eps and I dragged out the last 10 eps cause I didn’t want it to end. The one drama with more than 30 eps that I would gladly re-watch every year and so makes it my number 1 drama of all times…that’s a lot considering I’ve watched nearly every decent C-dramas & K-dramas out there.
Should have just ended it on the beach when he turned down the job & they walked off hand in hand. I suspected the ML’s mother was the consort’s friend that she kept mentioning but never say who, not to mentioned the mother herself said she was once a commoner…but common 🙄 It was an unnecessary reveal way too far in the end. The ML was amazing…I love his facials but needed at least another ep to at least show us the couple happily together as themselves with no drama or pressure surrounding them.
Funny enough the ending was the only part I think is appropriate in this whole drama. From 1st ep the FL is straight up shown as one of those clingy females in C-dramas that everyone loves to hate. She literally fell in love with ML from his Uni photo then chose then & there to join his classes to be close to him. Umm what she felt is an obsession, to her it didn’t matter that he was already engaged to someone else…..she didn’t even care that she was a rebound agreeing to marry him only 3 months after his breakup...the majority of that 3 months he was drunk & heartbroken. She’s so obsessed she didn’t even think much of the fact that she’s getting married in the dress that was made for his ex- fiancé 🤦🏻♀️
ML’s issue with his step mum was eye rolling….like I can understand his reaction from a child’s point of view but as an adult he needs to grow up! His dad started the relationship with the woman after he left his mum…how is that an ill intention from her!?
Then they had another parent who abandoned her baby then comes back 6 years later demanding that she be his mother again!?? The good old “I’m the biological parent so there for have more right than every body else” stance is getting real annoying now. Heck she really should be arrested for child abandonment & endangerment yet she’s rewarded with some custody of the boy 🤦🏻♀️ She wouldn’t have even bothered checking on her son if it wasn’t for the fact that she ran into him at the hospital & finding out he was adopted by ML.
Now getting to the Lead’s relationship….simply put, ML may love the FL later on but it’s most defitnily not a passionate love that the FL wants from him. Like the one she saw him have with his ex..he even begged his ex not to leave. He’s so set in his ways that we can clearly see a long cycle of FL’s obsession of break up & taking him back easily & ML letting her go with no effort to stop her over & over again. Nerve wrecking!! Which is why I think the ending where he restart a new him & her finally realising that having him there alive is more important than asking for more is the most appropriate ending for such a relationship. They both start fresh with next to no expectations from each other. Still a big disappointment but by then I already had no hope of their happily ever after….would have been much better if they both go their seperate ways in the end.
This is a major spoiler: think twice if you are watching this drama before clicking my next comment
ML got into an accident…disappeared after surgery…she found him again but he has amnesia. He remembers everything but her. This is all within the last 3 eps
What! He’s very attractive…different preferences I guess since I’m into more manly & natural than pretty boy type. I think he is good looking and she’s ok-so so, but she is a good actress so I never mind that.
Low budget was obvious indeed, acting not all there but story line was engaging.

I’v finished the eps available so wouldn’t want to elaborate & ruin it for anybody reading :)

That made it so much more interesting!

The case in the first 15 mins of ep 1 is 2 years ahead
