Why the hell is this drama called Fangs of Fortune there's nothing fortunate about all of this like I've been crying for at least five episode straight 😭
Started this yesterday and I adore the little doctor boy, the kid is so lovable 😭 His interactions with Zhou Yi Chen are so funny and endearing at the same time 🥺
The lack of depth or proper flesh in this story is sadly because they probably wanted to make something with a…
Tbh I never expect gmmtv to kill off any of the main characters for the reasons you said, but even so, they still could have find a better way to construct the curse and how resolve the whole conflict. I'm just sad because it feels like a waste of a very interesting premise 🥲
I don't think they would need to do it every leap day because technically they died. It's like rebirth
This could work somehow, but wouldn't the curse pass on their next most loved one like this? Since they didn't broke the curse, they are just "cheating" it. Your theory would make a lot more sense if it were Nigh and Day who "fake" their death, but not on February 29th, they should do it in another random day. That way it would really be like they died and then "born again" so their birthdate wouldn't be February 29th anymore and the curse should stop affecting them. That's a more realistic "cheating" of the curse.
The theme setting, color grading and aesthetic is all fitting well together ✨️
Yes, the photography is on point and the plot seems quite mature, more on the realistic side. I'm already invested since it's not everyday you'll get a lgbtq+ thai drama that tackles such important society changes in their appropriate time period.
Watched the trailer and ngl this has the potential to become one of the most interesting lgbtq+ drama thailand ever put out. If they nail the execution of a story that complex and full of nuances, this drama's gonna be for the history books.
I'll be honest, I don't really like the "solution" to the curse they gave us. Apart from working or not working and the morality around it cause you risk death anyway, I don't like the lack of clarity around the whole thing.
I mean at this point, shouldnt this thing works (admittedly nobody dies or get permanent brain damage from it) even if are Night and Day the ones who "fake" their deaths since dead people for sure can't have loved ones? Do they have to do this every leap year, since they are "cheating" the curse and not actually breaking it? What about Kit, nobody told us if he's still cursed.
Also first they told us the death's accidents happen only on February 29th, but when Ozone and Dream managed to survive the one in 2020, we got both of them risking death more than once through the whole 2-3 years that already passed. Why? Is it because the curse didn't manage to kill them? But at this point should the same occurrences happen if the "fake" their death making everything they're doing pointless?
Plus, thanks to Ozone we do know the curse kind of pause (?) when Night and Day are together, but this apparently only work like once bc otherwise anything else wouldn't make sense. But we also got Night and Day (plus Ozone & Dream) not speaking for months and nothing bad happened during that entire time?? Like what. What's going on. The timeline itself it's such a mess I'm not even gonna go there cause nope.
I've still got so many questions, but with only two episodes left I doubt I'll ever get answers 😭
(tbh gmmtv really need to invest in more quality storyline when they do thriller/horror dramas cause the chemistry between the actors CANNOT save a thriller, no matter how good the actors are, if the plot is messed up everything is going to fall apart in this type of stories. Sigh.)
Well, I think it's Kawin who asks, when they're trying to plan the heist, if they think maybe they're being set…
Lmfaooo well yeah Sun's luck is sure something 😭 Peace my sweet child he will definitely do everything he can to get Sun out of trouble I already know, but I have the dreading feeling that's gonna end badly for both of them- (but the softie in me is still hoping for a good ending somehow 😭).
I mean... Idk, I don't think they can use that knife for anything else than blackmail Sun or just plainly set him up as the murderer, so we will see which route they'll go lmao. More than a threat... I think everyone sees him as a nuisance that's causing trouble and making everyone losing money, so they want him /gone/. And we both know Sun won't ever stop causing trouble to his enemies unless he's dead so 😭 (also maybe they're worried that since Sun's dad was so loved, the people of the city could side with him and help him rebel against them? Idk people in power tend to go crazy paranoid at some point).
Jihoon is planning to get everyone out of his way tbh he's the scariest kid between them I fear and he's definitely playing everyone's side. (unrelated but yeah junho's actor is SO fine 🔥)

I do understand Sun's motive and his wish to revenge + recover what was once of his family, but idk our boy is going in head first without a plan, without Intel about his enemies, nothing at all, just hoping that this random mafia will maintain a vague promise. I'm like this because I don't want to see them getting hurt, even if I know it's inevitable 😭
Tbh I think the robbers gang is working with Junho or the other korean sibling. I think it's better for them to pin all those murder on someone else (aka Sun since he's from a rival mafia family) and washing their hands clean of it rather than threatening Sun into submission: he's not the type to back down in front of danger, unless they're holding against him the life of someone he loves. And I honestly think Sun would rather die trying than ending up in prison again with no possibility of ever uncover what happened to his dad and get his revenge 😂
my precious sunshines Bai Jiu and Ying Lei give them back to me 😭😭

Also the guy who plays Armin is freaking gorgeous what the hell he looks soooo good with long hair 😭
