I say satisfactory. I feel they rushed it a bit in the end, to cram it all in. Its the only xianxia I have ever…
Xianxia writers dont seem capable of writing a satisfying ending... loved both Ashes of Love and Love & Destiny but the endings were so rushed and just satisfactory
I agree... Not a big fan of Park Bo Gum. But might be a solid director and script can make him shine. I'm just…
then we'll just agree to disagree. I loved his portrayal of a reckless Crown Prince maturing into a wise leader. His expressions and actions were all so on point and his character was layered.
This is very different from AoL and LaR. Yandan is nothing like jinmi
i dont think so... In the end the feels are the same. I'm rewatching Ashes of Love while simultaneously watching Immortal Samsara (yes, im a sadistic fool who likes inflicting myself with unending torture) and the feels are almost the same. AOL is funnier and lighter than this one, though - at least in the beginning. I feel AOL was also written better but I haven't finished Immortal Samsara so I won't judge yet.
Deng Lun had an amazing tragic, broken expression that killed me every time and Cheng Yi has abundant chances to cry brokenly here. Both guys are smart, powerful, and straightforward - though Phoenix was extremely blunt. Yang Zi beautifully expresses sadness and indignation in the same way. It's a weep fest.
SOMEBODY HELP ME this is too much ππ these writers really know how to write words that will physically STAB you in the heart ππ and of course Yang Zi always gets those lines UGH UGH UGH
"Did you ever love me?" "Never." (AOL after she stabs him in the back)
"I want you to watch me enter the Night Forgetting River and witness how I forget you completely." (Immortal Samsara)
Realllly loved this cute little show! It was weird and absurd but the actors were terrific. They made it all work, and work WELL I looooved the way Ryan Cheng gave his ALL to the role, even though it was so weird. His expressions. actions and mannerisms were all so detailed - he wasn't stiff or awkward at all. I can't believe that such a silly show actually managed to bring tears to my eyes. Chen Fang Tong is soooo cute they made a very very sweet couple. β€οΈ SML was also a nice character... loved the way they resolved that arc.
My gut feeling was not wrong! It's a continuous broadcast ~So we have 59 episodes all in all. If this is my past…
Ikrr id be preparing to wrap up everything and move on if this was a kdrama but im here setting up my tent and getting comfortable - theres just something about epix xianxias
Try Love & Destiny - it has its own share of misunderstandings but it's less epic and angsty. The two actors are…
Its not a xianxia if they dont have some heartwrenching tragedy lol for lighter dramas try wuxia or plain historical - The Imperial Coroner, Maiden Holmes, Oh! My Sweet Liar!, The Killer is Not Romantic, The Legendary Life of Queen Lau... light and funny dramas like that
I wish they would give us a xianxia without forbidden-romance or constant rejection theme :( I'm fed up with xianxias…
Try Love & Destiny - it has its own share of misunderstandings but it's less epic and angsty. The two actors are mature and really really good with portraying their roles
hi. hope you having a good day so far?am hoping the same thing, the trailers are giving me annoying vibes because…
I loved it! Don't know if you'd appreciate it but I really liked that the God of War actually LOOKED like a God of War - Chang Chen is ruggedly handsome, not the flower-boy kind. Both main leads were absolutely aMAZING. It's not as epic as stuff like AOL and TMOPB but it's a really nice xianxia.

Really good filler drama!
