FR every turn, Ying gua never lost his trust for meng ting hui and she pulls this stunt. the writers really fked up. ying gua fr is my fav character, chen zhe yuan acted very well.

same, the drama itself was fine but they rly had to fk up in the finale episodes. meng ting hui going back to zhong luan with zero coordination with ying gua is so stupid. costed a’nian’s death and all the unnecessary war crap. could’ve let ying gua kill yin qing at their wedding and call it a day. she’s been smart all along and suddenly pulls this stunt. ying gua trusted her anyways. a waste of cast and story. shouldve followed the novel more closely.

well………….. they never truly reconcile properly till the very end 🤧 like ep 30+, they nvr rly got together together but they r on and off, the only time they were truly together were in the past thru flashbacks. misunderstandings is an understatement but a lot. sad ending to me, oe/he to some people.

really depends on the taste. i read reviews before starting and sometimes my reaction is the opposite. but i wanna say this drama is a rollercoaster. in my opinion, first few eps did nothing to the major plot but i still digged the red flag toxic scenes (sue me). then like ep 10 or so, plot picks up and they reveal each character’s motives and what not, definitely gets better in my opinion. is it a perfect drama? absolutely not. but i still enjoyed it. republican cdramas always have this sappy tragic mood so i wasnt expecting some sweet love story. i feel like all the characters i loved n hated did well with the script they had. i would still recommend ppl to give it a shot.

same, some shots were weird, its cinematically beautiful but just not fitting with the moment. i did start enjoying it after ep3 too! the leads’ chem is really great

basically murong qingyi and li baize got switched at birth, while the real li baize was getting all the love in murong family, the real murong qingyi was getting abused in the li family. when they were switched back, li family obviously abandoned qingyi but the murong family also didnt welcome him, they didnt hv the same connection bc they were apart for so long.. plus his mom thinks he’s the reason her husband (his father) died which is still not explained fully…. and the FL is under a fake identity as fang mulan for her revenge scheme.. she is using murong family as a stepping stool to get to huo family.. her real identity is still ren susu, the one murong qingyi fell in love with. i dont think her fiancé knows so its not an agreement

Just finished 5eps!! beginning felt weak but ep 3,4,5 were bangers!! im sold! definitely looking forward to watch more! some camera shots are questionable but leads’ visual makes up for it. im glad the past is pretty much done and the 5 eps sets up great for audiences to be more curious about the leads’ history and also ren susu’s true motives. loving the leads’ chemistry too! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 solid 4/5 for me 😍
