is this really a good drama? it has 8.6 ratings, yet the reviews say otherwise. :/
It depends on what genre do you like. From what I gathered, most complains are because there are too much romance when the original story is more about female empowerment. As someone who enjoy romance drama, I love it, but I can totally see where the criticism came from.
On episode 33, why is everything going kinda well? By kinda well, I mean too well, almost perfect, why is everything…
Episode 33 really felt like the final episode but then they realised they haven't fill out the required episodes number so they created some random storyline to fill the quota. They cleaned it up well on ep 36 though but yeah completely unnecessary extra episodes
They get married in the early episodes. They never get divorced but go through what they call the "cooling…
I need spoilers, at which episode will everyone find out shes faking her family background? And honestly I'm not liking the way FL is deceitful or calculative to almost everyone, is she like this throughout the entire show or it only happened in earlier episodes?
Can someone tell me the key point episode of this drama. I'm only in the middle of ep3 and I find it sooo draggy as if nothings happening. Please anyone let me know which episode they get married, divorce, reconcile wtv. At which point it'll get exciting basically
I kinda like how they set up the story during the first half but the further we go there were quite a lot of plot hole and inconsistent action. I'm writing this right after ep 11 when there's a man in the beginning he's so powerful he can read mind, no one can lie to him, but in ep 11 his coworker was tricking him and he didn't even know. Weird.
I found out that google translate has gotten so much better recently that I can read Chinese novels without confusion.…
In novel, He Ran knew she wouldn't survive so she wanted to stop receiving treatment and be with Xiao Han at his village. It's a lot complicated in the novel, but to simplify, the ending was she's with Xiao Han in the village for quite a while until her body couldn't take it, Xiao Han took her to the nearby county hospital. Xiao Han had to go back to his village because his ill mother needed him, then there's an avalanche or storm that trapped him in the village. He couldn't make it back to He Ran before she died. So yeah, tragic ending. I'm glad the drama left us hanging instead of keeping it true to the novel version.
I found out that google translate has gotten so much better recently that I can read Chinese novels without confusion. I just finished reading Forbidden Flower and the ending of the novel opened my eyes about the ending of this drama. Spoiler below.
This drama is all over the place. You can tell the director wanted to give it a noir vibe but it has the typical cdrama comical acting and silly plot so they can't keep the vibe and cinematography they wanted. And the story is just a mess. What even is the main plot of this drama?? I'm writing this right after watching ep 15 where there's a major twist and suddenly we got a whole new different plot.
I'm gonna drop this after watching 1 and half episode. I don't like how there's no clear genre for this drama. It's confusing what were they trying to tell.
But can someone explain to me why is ML a gangster? The gang he's in are not his family members right? And he didn't want to be a gangster since young. So what made him work as one?
I read the reviews and comments here before watching so I knew the final episode will be bad. But even with that mental preparation, I was absolutely flabbergasted. Wtf was that ðŸ˜
Btw, what happened to the female bully? kim hye yeong? Did she just disappear without explanation or something happened to her but I missed that part?
Watched this with 2x speed while having meals and I still can't stand how bad it was. The actings are so cringy. The plot and the tropes are so outdated it makes me wonder if this was produced in 2014.
Ok. But can I just say you camping on this page being defensive on every comment is not healthy. I hope you do get out and touch some grass as well. It's just a drama, chill. Take a deep breathe.
Last comment as I have better things to do in life than wasting my time here.To those who want to watch the drama…
Can you let me know how is the novel better than the drama? Do they have slightly different plots?
My main issue with the drama is it feels like they have never ending problems. They barely get to be happy/cute for few scenes before a new conflict arises. It's so frustrating to watch.
If the novel is more on the happier side I might want read it. And do the novel have mature elements in it?
I'm at ep 10 and considering dropping it. I feel drained watching this. So many conflicts, angst, and tensions. I thought this would be a youth/growth drama.
And just let google translate auto translate the page
