That last episode ruined this drama for me :( in like the first 8 episodes I genuinely thought this was one of the best kdrama in recent times. Ep 9-11 was not bad too. But wtffff is that last episode. It's so random, out of character, out of place, gahhhh I'm annoyed
Can anyone let me know if ji sang woo and nam you ri plot will intercept with the main couple plot? I'm currently in the middle of ep 4. And honestly only interested with the main couple story. So far the second couple seems to have their own storyline? Can I skip their scenes? Or do their story also matter to understand future scenes? I'm trying to finish this drama quickly lol
I'm currently watching this on 1.5x speed and it still feels sooo slow. The plan was to watch this in one sitting but each episode feels draggy I get bored and need a break every few minutes.
To anyone interested to read the novel but was put off by the bad translations, I found a way to make it bearable. I started by watching one episode of the drama then read a chapter or two of the novel, and continue with another episode. So you get that fresh pov of what the novel are saying.
I started reading it without expectation and actually had no idea what the novel was about but OH MY GODD IT WAS EXPLICIT ADULT NOVEL LMAO. I can't believe they produced a fluffy soft romance drama out of that story.
The drama story and the novel story are actually 99% similar. They only changed the location setting. But in any scenes in the drama, if there are only 2 of them in a car in a room or wtv, in the novel they were actually f***ing in that moment 💀
In Chinese version, the first brother moved to Singapore. His mother would hid his passport every time he tried to go away. So it totally makes sense why they can't meet for 10 years.
But in this drama, Sanha only moved to Seoul. A less than 3 hours train ride from Busan. No matter how busy and psychotic his mom was, he still has his own time when he goes to college or work, he can steal some time to make a short day trip. Or his own family also can make the trip to see him. It just doesn't make any sense why they can't see each other for 10 years.
In earlier episode, they showed underage Juwon went to Seoul alone. She went in the morning and came back before the sun set. So it shows that a trip to Seoul is easy for them.
Show me a life without work or career, that would be unrealistic wouldn't?
Honestly I already forgot how this drama went but it's totally possible to make a drama without focusing so much on their career. I didn't say they have to live a life without a job but for a short drama, is it really necessary to focus on their career detail when it doesn't contribute to the storyline at all?
I wonder if you watch kdrama? Like in Queen Of Tears, the FL is a CEO, the ML is a law advisor, we very much aware of what they do without them ever showing us every single issue they deal at work. Their careers are simply part of their characters.
This drama is my ultimate secret guilty pleasure. It's so bad, so childish, so unrealistic, so toxic, yet it somehow made my heart flutter lol. Rewatching this now and I just have to say the worst part of this drama is that no one is ever accountable of their actions. Almost every episode have something that should have police or authorities involved but they kept it to themselves and act like nothings wrong. One of the worst instance is when the 2 mean girls gave shancai a near death experience and the next scene they're playing in the snow together. That pissed me off so bad.
I need to pause and rant because i have to skip so much of the boring totally unrelated workplace plot.
I really don't understand why can't cdrama writers just make a romance story without focusing on their career. We don't care about it!!
Compared to kdrama, in kdrama we usually know the characters job, and the job can contribute to the storyline, but we never have to see them going to meetings, if their company is having troubles etc if its not related to the plot.
I hate how inconsistent the story goes. They didn't register their marriage because they were late to the registrar, if I recall correctly they said they'll come back the next day, but instead they lied to their parents saying they're already married, and didn't register their marriage until more than a year later.
I think they established pretty early on that they liked each other, they already kiss and all that but randomly in the middle of the drama FL is waiting for a confession??? What?? ML suddenly said "I like you" during their date as if he's confessing for the first time.
Towards the end as well, FL suddenly expecting a proposal. Hello?? You're supposed to be married already.
When her MIL moved in with them, they haven't consummate their relationship but they've kissed so many times, they slept under the same blanket in the tent, but suddenly they act so awkward with eachother as if they never even touch each other hand.
This drama had such big potential, conceptually it could be a 10/10 drama, but the lazy writing and inconsistencies ruined it for me.

I think it's unfortunate they can't give more scenes for Dal, because in the original her story is complex and interesting as well.

That's quite a major plot flaw.

That's what I want to see in cdrama.
