Same im also okay with brainrot series as long as the execution is good—that’s all that matters. I do care about the ships tho and the actors, but I’m not someone who’s going to turn a blind eye to bad storytelling just because I like them. Try Mr. Fanboy, it’s SO good, Nour, Ticket to Heaven ,Khemjira, Prosecutor Proposal, Payback, Thamepo ,perfect 10 liners ,love me if you swear are 10/10 for me—plot, direction, storytelling ,diff genres/tropes, everything. They’re genuinely worth your time.

Nah cus, I don’t understand how people enjoy something that is so poorly written, but my bigger issue is that constantly praising this kind of writing encourages companies to keep making the same slop .They do this with joongdunk

I loved basically every aspect of this series, but it never lived up to the hype it had. The first part was genuinely a 10/10 experience, especially while it was airing. I loved the discussions, the theories around BigJane, how mysterious he was, and when BigJane was still scary and acting like some horror movie character 😭. I also loved seeing him become more vulnerable and getting a much clearer lens into who he actually was, especially seeing that he was such a green flag. But they completely ruined LilJane’s character for me. They recycled his personality, his actions and basically the entire concept of the first part into the second part after the time skip. I really wish they had followed the novel more closely. Personally, I enjoyed EP7 and was SO excited for the whole time-skip storyline, so it’s honestly frustrating seeing how they handled it. Urgh.The actors did their job well but the director ruined everything

My biggest issue is honestly the fact that I feel like these actors were wasted on this storyline. The plot is already pretty predictable to me, and I’m almost 100% sure the future episodes are going to become annoying because this type of storytelling and execution is so common. I’m just mad because I’m genuinely disappointed, and now I probably have to wait another year for another potential WilliamEst series 😭. And yes, you’re right, maybe it just comes down to preference. Personally, I was expecting the kind of storytelling I got from Ticket to Heaven, Not Me, ThamePo and Perfect 10 Liners, so I think that’s why this feels especially disappointing to me

I don’t think anyone is saying people like Dean, Moth, Ten and Pun don’t exist IRL. That’s not really the criticism. Characters being messy, toxic and flawed can absolutely make them feel human, but realism by itself doesn’t automatically make the writing good. You can have realistic characters and still have weak pacing, repetitive conflict, poor execution or character development that feels forced. And saying “it’s not your cup of tea” kind of dismisses legitimate criticism by reducing it to personal preference.My point is that realistic characters ≠ automatically good writing. Characters don’t have to be toxic, complicated or “messy” to be well-written either; even ordinary characters can be written incredibly well if they’re given believable motivations, development and depth .I also don’t think showing multiple POVs automatically makes the storytelling nuanced—the different perspectives still need to be written and developed effectively. People can genuinely relate to these characters and enjoy seeing their messiness while other viewers can find the execution frustrating. Both reactions can exist at the same time, but that doesn’t change the fact that I don’t think it’s executing its ideas well enough. I’m not criticising the actors or the fact that the characters are flawed—I’m criticising the storytelling and writing.

Idk how this is an 8.7 😭 I genuinely feel like if people were more honest with their reviews, it would actually give GMMTV proper feedback and push them to do things better, because for me they seriously wasted WilliamEst’s talent on such a shitty story. I’m so pissed because I was actually SO excited for their new series—especially since they got so little screen time(personally) in Me and Thee, so hearing they were getting another series together had me genuinely excited to finally see more of them, and then we got this 😭 Like nah, I’m just disappointed.

I deadass got a JUMPSCARE when James shot Ken with zero hesitation My jaw literally dropped to the floor. I expected Ken to show some kind of heartbroken reaction or sadness because of that, like I KNOW he can’t actually be hurt, but still URGH shooting your lover like that. Ken probably understood James actions and feelings

Third’s mom might’ve abused (emotionally ) him or something because she gives me such narcissistic vibes and has high expectation of his son. I wouldn’t be surprised if she pushed him into the BL industry because she wanted him to become famous. Especially considering how much fame and popularity in Thailand can come from BL .

With Wan, I don’t think Nine cared that much about him until the whole incident, and it probably got worse when he saw Wan and Third becoming close. Ghostships exist and can get extreme enough that they can even pressure a CP to break up, and fans might eventually get tired of ThirdxNine if they notice the lack of chemistry. Nine could also be worried that behind-the-scenes content will make fans notice more of Third and Wan rather than Third and Nin, but I can understand where he’s coming from. His personality is a huge factor too—he’s clearly ambitious, wants to be famous and steal the spotlight, and seems pretty self-centred and egotistical, and his managers seem to feed into that persona . For Nine, this series and his CP are a chance to rise even more, especially since he and Third barely do fanservice despite being the main couple, so he has to work harder for publicity and attention. I’m not excusing his behaviour, but I can understand where some of his insecurity is coming from .

Just saw some critism abt the pacing and i disagree with the pacing criticism . I thought their romance was paced perfectly, and I don't think they “threw away” the Nour plot either. We still have 4 episodes left, and judging from the trailer, A LOT is clearly still going to happen. I think they focused on Ken and James first because their relationship needed to reach a point of conflict and resolution, especially since their side plot directly affects their relationship. Once that is established, the Nour plot can naturally become more central. Mind you,the directors clearly aren't going to spoon-feed us the whole mystery—we're meant to piece things together ourselves. I think the mystery and the romance balance each other really well.
And honestly their fast progression makes sense for their characters. Ken is stoic, guarded and keeps his feelings to himself, while James is chaotic, playful and constantly pushes Ken's boundaries, so of course he's the person who would break through Ken's walls 😭. Their attraction also wasn't random—the bloodlust from James' blood getting on Ken literally accelerated everything. Without that, I could see them developing more slowly, but considering everything that happened, I completely buy why they fell for each other so quickly.
