Gaming drama that is not an e-sport
After the bus she rode on had an accident, a student Chun Yu (Sun Qian) and her unconscious best friend Qing You (Dai Ya Qi) mysteriously found themselves in a dangerous VR game world. Several other passengers also unknowingly enter the game, and they soon find out that they were all involved in the accident - except for substitute teacher Gao Xuan (Wei Zhe Ming), who claims he was just asleep. Having no other choice but to play the game, they eventually managed to complete the level and regain consciousness, but they logged back into the game the next night.
Facing terrible monsters and mind game puzzles, the players must learn to work together even though they are not sure they can trust each other. What made them even more frightened was when they realised that the person who died in the game was in a coma in real life. And then some other students got sucked into the game too! Those who enter the game will spend the night trying to survive and complete the level so they can enter the next level. Outside the game, they are also investigating who did this to them. As they begin to find clues from their investigation, the relationship of friendship and love between them is repeatedly tested by pressure, situations and the evil machinations of the mysterious people behind this game.
The characters of the two main leads are very interesting, they are very intelligent, quick to read the situation and know what to do to handle the matters. Very good acting from all the actors, even for small roles. Amid the tension, there is also a little romance between several characters and also comedy which makes the audience laugh and feel relieved from the suspense. Wei Zhe Ming & Sun Qian are versatile actors and they can play any character well. The production, setting, props and CGI are smooth and good, the audience can feel as if they have entered a level 19 game which is full of mysteries and puzzles. I think It would be better if it finishes in 24 episodes because after ep 15 I feel like they drag the plot for too long.
