yes, I think when he was injured, she took care of him. she said she can take care of ten of him. however, there was an intimate scene and for some reason, the director who loves close up decided to make it distant shot.
I really wish the drama would focus more on MZY. How does he go from ep 11- I won’t marry her to ep 21-I’m…
there were many moments and then the confession. maybe someone will create video of those moments only with them like they do for other dramas because in 38 episodes, those tender moments they're falling for each other are scattered. there was one scene he said to his disciple that he has fallen in love but due to his sect won't allow love, he will not marry her. they got very intimate after he saved her from burning structure and jumped off the tower gate broke his foot, and she insisted she take care of him. they showed a lot of tender moments, while there, her father forced him to drink, they got close during the drunken moment. I don't remember all the scenes but those are few of them. I don't feel that it was sudden. It's been slow burning for many episodes. Right before he proposed in front of emperor and empress, there was a scene of snow and fire, and it reminded him how his parents died and he couldn't' find wuzhen and was afraid of losing her just like he lost his parents, I think it was right after that he realized he wants to marry her. Even before that, they were trapped in a death formation and he thought they were going to die, all the feelings he had shut inside came pouring out. He confessed his love for her. He knows that in order to marry her he will have to return to Changxi Palance and pay the price. He told her he needs to go off and let his sect know and will return in ten days. He doesn't tell her what he will have to endure to marry her. Well, he can't tell her anything his identify as a celestial master is still a secret, but he also doesn't know she's demon either. It's why he's at the bureau of mystic investigations so he can get closer to the resources to search for truth. His backstory and mystery surrounding Mei zhuyu really hasn't been fully revealed yet. Perhaps will know in 22-23 what his role and mission with Changxi is and what the status of Changxi in this world setting.
gosh, I feel like the magical beauty of Changxi should have lifted it to 27K, if that can't I don't' know what will. just joking
I found a chart on Douban tracked hourly change on Monday and Tuesday and its peak. Why is it stuck at right below 27k every day. Peak Monday 26,962 Peak Tuesday 26,981
this is just like ABAY trying to reach 28K always just a little bit shy
Actualmente - Capítulo 10Me está encantando el drama, pero hay un aspecto que no me convence: el protagonista…
You mean episode 10? The male lead has no desires for worldly things or women, no intention to fall in love nor marry, but I think in ep 1, he was already hit with cupid's arrow, only he doesn't realize it. He's reclusive and aloof. The male lead doesn't get involve with demon market; he doesn't even know its whereabouts. Two demon lords and their four assistants keep other demons from causing harm to humans, and the male lead is not involved because it is not in his jurisdiction, it's only between demons and no one else knows about demon underworld which is under jurisdiction of demons only. Changxi Palace is far away (ep. 22-23) and the celestial masters are reclusive and have not been involved with demons ever since the fall in the great fire 18 years ago. The male lead ventured out on his own in search of finding truth of his parents' death. I could be wrong, I don't' know his true purpose yet. While in Chang'an, he purposedly failed 3 questions on exam to become a very low-level position at the bureau of mystic investigations, so he can gain access. So begins his journey with Wu Zhen and he falls in love, and his return to Changxi Palace. The drama is into the world-building and has a rich ensemble of characters. The other disciple has a back story. He was never good at cultivation. He is comic relief.
when they were trapped in that formation, she asked him something and he still didn't want to confess, then when he realized they may not get out, he quickly confessed. it all happened in "wink of an eye."
Why all the demon here are all from ridiculous objects and animals like paper, cushion, rat, ear rings etc and…
In Moonlit Reunion, demons come from stuff like earrings, paper because the story says everyday things can gain spirit energy and become demons, based on old Chinese myths. It’s not the usual demons; it’s quirky to fit the romantic, fun vibe. The Cat Lord is the strongest because cats are clever and mystical in folklore, plus it ties to Wu Zhen’s personality and the love story.
hauntingly beautiful the cast is really great xu kai is so handsome in plain clothes ponytail on horse xukai always plays versatile and complex characters, imo the best of his character is yet to come beautiful swordmanship so with Changxi Celestial Palace plot, makes this wuxia first half, was demon world, now the second half is Changxi (esp. 21-23) after that he can propose and marry. I think ep. 23 proposal, so 24 should be mariage, so that leaves 14 eps conflict and resolution in novel, mei zhuyu was the most powerful taoist but I read someone said he's not in the drama
I read scenes are not filmed in sequence so when an actor has dual personalities to play, they could be playing the aloof one day and the not aloof the next day, maybe even within hours the same day.
Mei Zhuyu, once emotionally reserved, indifferent to desires, focused solely on duty before is transformed. His personality seems livelier, more expressive, though his temperament remains the same. Love flipped a switch inside him. 💘⚡chp 21 is like a turning point, second half
Playing Mei Zhuyu subdued in the first half sets up a strong contrast with how his personality opens up later.
"I would never put you in a difficult position. So I never dared to speak my heart. I regret it so much, back…
He confessed because he thought they were going to die. The moment is so delicately performed. They're about to be crushed to death, yet Mei Zhuyu remains composed in the face of death. Beneath that composure, though, is a storm of emotions. He desperately wants her to know how he feels. Even with such urgency, he remains tempered controlled, yet deeply emotional. It's exquisite. I find the moment wonderfully complex.
This drama is entertaining and light-hearted. Just when you think it’s about to get really serious, it gives you just enough—and if you’re like me, you hope it goes deeper—but then it pulls back (so far). It teases me, plays with my emotions, and keeps me guessing. The heavy moments are scattered throughout.
