your question is valid. I saw a discussion on Douban and they think they did it but because it is a family tv show, there will be no mention of it. But I also understand why some may be offended by the question. It's really not important but I came across a discussion and I think they are right when I go back to rewatch the scene.

The mother went to YZM's office and had asked him if he was the mouse running around the house and he said yes. I think YZM and MCH had sex outside of marriage but it's a family tv show so they can't discuss it. MCH's mother asked MCH in ep 1 if she has sex with the bf. She told her wait until after marriage. So, I find it odd that she approves of YZM going in and out of MCH's room. The mother was well aware of his ladder too and she is the suspicious type.
