The bf is a good guy. He just not smart, no commonsense, and no backbone. They clearly adore each other. I can see why he likes her for so many reasons, esp. she is exceptionally kind, while his parents neglected him. But I honestly don't know why she's into him. I'm still trying to figure that out, why someone like her would like a guy like that. He is sweet to her and makes her laugh. Maybe she liked him because he was down-to-earth. But time and time again, the bf disappoints her so when the bf family insults her family, I guess that was the last straw for her. She sees that there is no way she can marry into his family. Her relationship with the ml is not cliche at all. It takes a lot for them to understand each other. In a way, romance is not really the focus of this drama even though they keep showing it in clips. It's about loving and broken family relationships. Even the fl friend or god daughter to her parents ended in divorce not long after she marry a cheating husband. Should a woman be independent and rely on herself or get marry?

I'm just guessing here but I think the bf's family insults the fl's family and the bf does nothing about it, at that point, she's had it and ends the relationship. In the previews, I see the ml starts to offer advice to the fl and although it may take many battles between them as enemies, eventually they see the real person inside is not so bad, and start to like each other.

I would have stopped watching if I don't like his dramas. You not liking it time and time again, and yet here you are again. Why don't you try watching a drama you know you will like.

They're complete opposites. Sure, he's fun and adorable but he's like a child, and she's like a mother to him. He was neglected by his parents, and she is so kind and loving to him. I see why he loves her, but I wonder what she saw in him, someone as smart, mature, hardworking, responsible, sensible, and tenacious as her would fall for a weak man.

The boyfriend had no choice but he's not very bright and has little common sense and won't stand up to his parents. The boyfriend needs to grow up. This is what too much wealth and no responsibility and parents neglect you can to do children. As comfortable as money is, it's better for kids to grow up with as little money as possible and let them work.

I really love the scenery in this drama and the attention to details in their little house speaks volumes about this family.

I was thinking the same thing. After XK wrapped filming on BCE, he went to dub ABAY before heading home for vacation. I think it was all done in one day, so I don't know if he's just doing some edits or full dubbing, but it sounded like full dubbing meaning that the line deliveries are all done postproduction. I'm still puzzled how he can dub all of Han Ting's lines in one day. XK says there is a process for dubbing that he has to learn.
But I don't recall he ever went to studio for dubbing BCE. I think in SHPH, they used the line delivery during filming, of course, if there are issues, they might have to fix up some lines here and there. So, BCE was recorded during filming too.

I've seen worst. At least this is a loving family who will heal. In real life, people become estranged.
