The mother in this drama is not a bad lady or an evil person. She has a great marriage. You can see how much she and her husband love each other. You can also see how much the fl loves her mom and vice versa. She raised two great kids who study hard, work hard, and are good people. They got their values from their parents. But the mother has many faults. Also, this is a movie, some of the stuff that happens is for humor.
She really love him and you can see how adorable he is, funny and charming her. She is just a exceptionally kind and perhaps part of his charm is that he is just a sweet guy who cherishes her for who she is, and she loves him for being who he is, faults and all. She's not like some girls only will look for a guy who has money. He was so different, he was just simply a sweet guy. She hoped that they can work hard together and build a life together. But I think the way she found out shocked her system. IF he had taken the time to privately break it to her, it would have been different.

When the person keeps things to themselves and it concerns you, that means they are rather selfish and only thinking of themselves. In the bf's case, he didn't tell her about his background because his family so in his case, he doesn't have a backbone to stand up to his family. Marrying into this kind of family is very toxic. No one can be happy unless he say I'm leaving this family and starting my life with my new wife on our own. Marriage involves not just two people, rich or poor, meddling or awful in-laws are inevitable, and you cannot escape them unless you move far away.
It's not that complicated to me. The person you love is not that person. He's been lying to you from the beginning who he really is. The trust and bond has been broken. I don't think of XK when watching his characters. They don't remind me of the XK in interviews or variety shows. I only think of the character he is playing.
