Finally something to watch after 'AASOL', I am expecting it to be on lighter side, without breakup or love triangle
Going into it, one already knows what to expect from the story, but one will have to watch the drama to experience the anticipated delightful, funny, touching, loving, and emotional scenes. It's a classic inspirational story of an ordinary girl finding her own way. It's definitely going to be easy to watch and entertaining. It's not a unique story so the acting, the cast, brilliant lines, and the chemistry is crucial to set it apart. The drama is off to a good start because Yang Zi and XK appearances both exude family values and wholesomeness for such a happy family drama as this. I'm also looking forward to XK sweet chemistry with his on-screen grandma. I hope this drama can become a timeless classic that people will remember.

The ml is not even interested in the fl as a love interest until later in the drama so it's not one of those dramas where boys are fighting over a girl. Also, the fl broke up with her boyfriend before she meets the ml. There are no other boys after her. The cast is very small, only 11 characters and the ex-boyfriend is only a guest appearance. Half the cast are related as family. This sounds like a very sweet and entertaining drama. The characters need to be really interesting, entertaining and have amazing chemistry to make it unique.

XK doing what he loves to do. He hasn't had to use the sword since SAF6 over a year ago. Costume dramas are so rigorous and hard on the scalp and the body.
This story is heart-warming, and people like me who like wholesome movies will like it. It sounds like a typical story that is quite predictable what will happen. From the trailer and the clips, I find the characters endearing, interesting, and fun to watch. The acting will be solid given this cast of actors. The key to its success in my mind depends on amazing chemistry to make it unique. From the clips, already I'm loving this family and can't wait to watch it.
I don't recall XK character ever kissing fl like in this drama. He cradles the fl whole head with both of his hands. It's hard not to notice when he has such exquisite hands. In one clip, he was forcing himself on her.
XK also worked with Zhao Lusi in Autumn Fairy tale but some of the actresses he worked with in the past were not…
sometimes it's interesting to go back and watch some of those episodes because they were basically all unknowns together at the same time. There were couple of actors who played significant roles in Untouchable Lovers, who now always play supporting roles to XK. but Xu Kai had such a boring role in that drama, doing the same thing, following the prince around. It was weird to see him be the one bowing to another character. It really wasn't until Yanxi Palace that they saw his potential and smell money to be made. There is an even earlier drama called Zhao Ge that was made that they were all in but never aired. It is obvious from the start that Zhao Lusi has real talent and stood out.
Bai Jing Ting is a very good actor. The moment I saw him in a drama for first time, I was mesmerized by his acting. It just goes to show that you don't need to be the most handsome charming guy, he doesn't really have that, but he has a quality about him on screen that just makes you want to keep watching. He has so much depth in this ability to express his character that it makes you want to watch his character. He's so solid as an actor, whatever drama he is in is worth watching just to watch him.

He only cares about his own interests and what he can get, and then he doesn't care about other people, including the female lead. He is a bit of (slang); outwardly kind, but inwardly evil, but his growth line is a long process. From the beginning, when he doesn't trust anyone, and he has camouflage/way to protect himself. Then, he slowly starts to accept other people's opinions, start to coexist with other people's values or principles, and then he becomes a very down-to-earth person with warmth, and very human-like.
Interviewer: Oh, so, this is also a process of growing from bad to good person. "Yes, his psychological journeys relatively long."

If I recall correctly, in another past interview, when asked which character is he most like or least like, I thought he said Han Ting was the least like him in real life. I'm guessing that it has to do with his domineering personality. Or maybe it was Yang Hua? These two characters are extreme opposites of each other. XK also said his inner core was most like Li Ni. I'll look up the interview if I can find it and correct myself here if I got it wrong.
