I skimmed through Douban comments and as hard as it is to understand translation, I get the sense that "netizens" are full of critical people who criticize every little thing. One wonder if they make a game out of this. Their entertainment is to criticize not to enjoy the drama.
aayushblink04 is right, it's all rubbish. There is a lot of garbage out there and easy to fall into it. I have also seen some excellent reviews that are intelligently written and provide supporting details.

if you look at Douban rating for AJTL, 10% of the ratings are 1 due to its ending. Does a bad ending really deserve to rate the entire drama a 1? 10% is quite high. it's normally more like 5% as there will always be unreasonable people who judge an entire drama by one thing they didn't like. In SAF6, I guessing the high 35% of the ratings are 1's did not like Q's childish voice. They've turned the Douban rating into a joke.

the 5.1 won't go back up when 35% of the users give it a 1 to dilute the true score. The score is a big fat joke. Ignore it. I'm beginning to think there is a conspiracy.
I like to know how many dramas have 35% of the users rate it a 1. I think the average is 5% are 1's. AJTL got 10% because the ending. Did people give this drama a 1 just because of Qi's voice? I thought Douban supposed to weed out the scores that dont' make sense.

The true score among reasonable Douban watchers is more like 6.7 to 6.9.

The Opening Douban score of 5.1 taken from only 27,132 users is extremely lopsided and skewed by 35.2% of the ratings at 1 and cannot be taken seriously!

13.4% - 5 by 3,636 users
14.8% - 4 by 4,016 users
18.0% - 3 by 4,884 users
18.6% - 2 by 5,047 users
35.2% - 1 by 9,550 users

If I remove the 1, and recalculate, I get 6.7
If I remove the 1 and 2 and recalculate, I get 7.8
If I change 2 to 13% (or 2,019 users) and 1 to 6% (or 955 users), I get 6.9

A more reasonable Douban is 6.7 to 6.9

How can there be only 27,132 user ratings and 35.2% of them are a joke? I thought this drama was #1 on Mayoan hot list for Jan.

every interview, his female costars allude to a different side of Xu Kai that people don't know.

actually, her role as Qi is very complex and she is actually a very mature character. Scene after scene shows a highly intelligent Qi who is smart, wise, extremely kind, loyal, courageous, perceptive, etc. Qi is an amazing character to me. I don't think you can get more mature than Qi. She is the strongest weapon in the story.

I also read some praises too for the director, it was not all bad. there will always be disagreements. This drama is how he wanted to present the story.

Xu Kai's attitude in an interview when asked, he replied he's not competing with anyone, only compete with himself, to get better and better, that he's still a "baby actor" with a lot to learn. And when they asked him about billing, he said that is not important to him. He can be too honest and spontaneous sometimes. In interviews, he seems to give sincere and transparency in his answers from his heart. He doesn't mind telling people things.

Xu Kai has a very playful side to him. He's really a 28 year old kid (at heart). He's not a one dimensional person. He is very good at comedy roles. He was so hilarious in Court Lady when he threatened his mother that if he cannot marry the girl of his choosing, he would become a monk and cut off his you know what, so he's holding the knife ready to do it. It's a really hilarious scene to me anyway.

I'm glad you discovered Xu Kai. I really admired him for so many reasons not just his looks, but the inner person is very beautiful. He has a great attitude and seems to treat everyone with respect. He is also a very funny guy. He says he's an extrovert but then he seems shy sometimes. So far all the characters he's played in every drama, I feel a part of Xu Kai inner self he put into those characters, since he always plays a hero type, like Li Ni, Bian Luohuan, there's a bit of Xu Kai in them.

Xu Kai is a very funny guy according to his female co-stars. I've seen Yang Mi, JIng Tian, and Yang Zi all say this. He has this great sense of humor and ridiculous laugh. But he can also be serious guy.

SAF4 will air final two episodes tomorrow while SAF6 still has twelve episodes remaining to air.

Xu Kai has never had a drama below 9.0 on Viki until now.
