the reason there is no backstory yet is because this story deals with fascination of what is called a closed loop crossing of Mobius space and time in the present day. A Mobius strip has no beginning or end. It's the saying "did the chicken come first or the egg?" That is the mystery of Yue Jinzhao. Who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going? We'll have to see how the drama adapted the story from the game, I could be wrong, but so far, from what I've read, it seems to follow it closely.

It is not lowly rated on MDL, If you look at the stats, it's all over 8.0, closer to 8.5. On Viki, 27% of the low ratings people don't like her voice. If you exclude that, the rating is actually over 9.0. If you think this drama is a joke, that's your opinion, you have a right to your opinion.

it would take a huge budget and over a year to make it realistic. This is a fantasy world. How do you propose they create the massive Cloud Ark sailing in the sky? Why is the acting so bad to you? Is it all of the actors or a particular one? Really? "No Nothing"? Not one thing? Not even the music? It's fantasy world, a magical world. Everything comes down to money and time. The story is very interesting, so I think at least give it that. It feels like science fiction mixed with Chinese philosophy and culture. It's not your usual drama storyline

the plot gets heavy around ep 18 I heard, and ending is anyone's guess but it will not be your usual romance ending. this is CP after all.
We see the love between couples so far. There is a reason they feed it to you.

The plot may not flow the way you are used to seeing. They might have turned it upside down and what you are looking for is in the backend. We won't know if the adaptation is messed up until the curtain falls. There are still 22 episodes remaining.

On Douban site, someone posted that the Maoyan network popularity list across all platforms (Tencent, IQIYI, Youku, mango, etc) daily list for 1/25/24 Beijing 22:58:27 had SAF6 at top of the list. Maybe this is old news already?

I was looking at MDL ratings of the top ten Chinese dramas of 2023. I noticed The Longest Promise has overall rating 7.8 with Watching 8.63 and Completed 8.46, and Verified is 7.83. It makes no sense, but at least the overall 7.8 matches the verified 7.8.
In SAF6, the overall score is 7.8 lower than Verified which has risen to 8.07.

In the gameplay and I don't know how the drama will do it, but it gives you some idea the plot.

I didn't realized how strong she is until I watched this. She really puts her heart and soul into what she's doing. I really enjoy her moves in this drama. I've watched other actresses do the same things but I never stopped to think about them, then I saw Esther doing it and I stop to notice. Some seem to just go through the motions what is required as you would expect, and some were dancers before so they project graceful and beautiful motions. Esther projects power, speed, intensity, yet maintain grace. When she does it, she turns it into an art form.

She only has few less dramas than actors her age. Some actors need to make as many dramas as they can while they can still do it they're overworking (no life) to make 3 a year, I don't think it's humanly possible to film 4 a year. She's gotten awards. In 2020, she got a Best Actress and Actress of the Year awards and in 2023, Actress of the Year and Most Influential Actress awards. She had a big hit and her popularity is rising.

Xu Kai said in this interview that he has lost some muscles. They don't really have time for themselves and so much pressure to always look perfect. If Esther Yu can film 1 less drama a year than others, good for her.

This is really a testament to his acting skills because he wasn't even trying to create love rivalry yet it came through to the audience. He was simply focused on playing two separate characters.

Maybe it was because I put all my thoughts into playing two different characters, finished Jinzhao, then change to Bian Luohuan (back and forth).
