Watchers 8.53. Scoreboard 7.6. Go figure. Is MDL program biased? If Watchers 8.53 already take into account Qi voice, CGI, etc.., and the plot will most likely get more interesting, and I read there is only one possible ending in the game and it's very interesting ending so I can't see that the 8.53 will go down. In fact, the Watchers rating has improved from 8.38 to 8.48 to 8.53.

wow these people have that much influence? that they can even extort money? No wonder some dramas are overrated and some are underrated.

wow Esther is so spontaneous and adorable in real life. It was her first attempt at sky diving too. She's scared but my impression of her is she's fearless. Notice how Xu Kai never lets go of her hand with his left hand.

it's because she's very talented. She has very good control of her body and good form. I never enjoyed the hand waving they do in martial arts until I see Esther doing it.

I hope after this drama is completed airing, people will forget her childish tone she was supposed to have in the drama and focus on her talent she displayed in this drama.

in general, I think kids may like playing games but will find this drama boring although Xu Kai said as a kid, he was a fan of Sword and Fairy games and loved drama adaptation and became a Hu Ge fan. The problem is that they don't spend the money or time to make the fantasy creatures and world more realistic and crank out the production in 3 to 4 months. The naive or childish characteristics seems to be common in Chinese Paladin. In the case of CP6, Qi is only 3 yrs old in the mortal world. In CP1, the fl starts out naive and acts like a girl out of a fairytale (for her protection, she was sent to an island and been sheltered similar to ml in CP4) and becomes mature and most powerful being who is the only one who can kill the sea monster. The drama supposed to make you feel like you are in a make-believe world and lots of humor and romance mixed with adventure, martial arts, Chinese culture, but the themes are philosophical which means love, pain, sacrifices, deaths, rebirth (Taoism), and will get quite serious and heavy with emotions. Past Paladin has sort of mix endings sad (people die) but fulfilling because objective is met (except Paladin 5 I read was sad and confusing). Chinese Paladin 6 is supposed to have a amazing story. I'm hopeful this ending will be interesting and not too sad.

The drama did not capture Jinzhao and Qi first 3 years of life but when Qi first woke up, she was speaking in what is called "You No Take Candle" style of speaking (see below what that means).

Qi's manner of speech during her first few months with Jinzhao is justified in that she was literally just learning how to talk due to being kept in stasis her whole life until then.

When a character or group needs to be portrayed as foreign, primitive, or inferior in intellect, or perhaps just childlike, yet still intelligible and able to communicate, the language of these characters is spoken as a grammatically abhorrent mess.

yep, people dropping this after a few episodes have no idea how emotional this story will be

not just her voice but she captured the essence and personality of the character. MDL really brings out the best and worst in fans.

the story takes time to unfold. it's full of mysteries. If you like detective stories, then you might like this one. There are many clues along the way. Boring is subjective.

the 7.7 represents a small number of verfied ratings that include ridiculous ratings of 1 and 2. The majority of watchers are rating 8.5, but have not verified their ratings.

AJTL aired on Nov 28 and MDL did not display a rating untll 12 days later, Dec 9, but yet , for this drama, it gets rated the second day of airing.

Esther is really brilliant as Qi.

The characters are mysterious.
