Yes, I enjoy Autumn Fairy Tale. I first noticed ZLS in that movie. I didn't know who she was before. I was watching it to check out Xu Kai's acting, but she was the star of the movie, and I noticed this girl is really good actress. I enjoyed Xu Kai's acting in Autumn Fairy Tale. Both of them are naturally good actors. I always remember the sentimental scene of ZLS and XK when they danced and afterwards, they stood at the overpass talking about their sad lives. It was so natural like real-life conversation, but they were charming together. I felt like these two should be soul mates in this drama, but she loved the ml more. XK was sml since he was an unknown at the time.
Also, 2FL in AMA is awesome. I felt she should have won a Best Supporting Actress award. She was good in Dance of Sky Empire too. Her looks fit her role as Saintess in that clan. Her emotions are good.

I'm looking forward to seeing He Rui Xian because I think she's a very good actress. I very much enjoyed her portrayal of Yin Ziping in Royal Feast, one of my top Xu Kai dramas. Whatever character she's going to play, she will bring it to life full of strong personality. From what I can tell, she tends to play strong gutsy characters.

I rewatch the trailer and noticed that Han Ting likes to gently caress Ji Xing's head with his hands or brush the side of her hair, ever so gently, I feel like he's handling something very fragile.

Will CP6 have to deal with the high standards and pressure set by CP1 and CP3 which received rare Doubon ratings of 9.1 and 9.0, respectively, and which starred the legendary Hu Ge? Was this a risky role to take on as undoubtedly there will be comparisons.

I think the viewership from SOKP did not carry over to WOL. Then as SOKP and WOL is finished airing, the popular AJTL aired which again took potential viewers away from WOL. I think WOL is not the kind of drama that will draw a wide audience, but the viewership could have done much better if it did not air at the same time as SOKP, OFL, and right before AJTL. SOKP dropped out of nowhere and surprised everyone. It had huge pent-up demand having been delayed for so many months. There was something like 7 million reservations before it aired. SOKP airing the same time as OFL helped OFL big time (that drama got a lot of bad reviews despite its popularity) but hurt WOL, although it managed to gain #2 spot. Perhaps WOL has the potential to do better outside of China, if people can find the movie. During streaming of WOL, it was #1 on WeTV Indonesia. FIYS to this day is still #1 on WeTV in the Phillipines is what someone on You Tube wrote in the comments. Xu Kai is very popular outside of China.

I think Xu Kai is trying to stay focus unless it is to promote his drama. It is more important to him to focus on his work. It shows that he is not hung up on popularity, but serious about his career. This popularity thing has a downside too. I give him another 3 years (still only be 31 looking like 26) and his star will shine even brighter.

Xu Kai: "Yes, because when I was young, when internet in every household is not as developed as now, we are all playing some Jin Yong games or fairy sword. The Fairy sword was originally a games Come to stand-alone game to break through the TV series. (Jin Yong, wuxia novelist, author of the Condor Trilogy). I found this movie on You Tube because I was looking through Xu Kai list of dramas on MDL.
It looks like a well-done movie with the amazing actress Ni Ni in it. On You Tube it says the film has been edited and is not the original version but still worth watching. . Just browsing through, I spotted Xu Kai momentarily in couple of scenes. I will watch it just for the acting and scenery. I really like the top tier beautiful talented actress Ni Ni. I feel for the struggles of so many Chinese people during those turbulent times. Life was so hard for many.

Most Asians look 5 yrs. younger than their real age. Having a youthful look is not a bad thing. XK will have a long career if he doesn't burn out first making so many dramas. I don't know how old Han Ting is supposed to be but I'm guessing same age as XK. I would not expect an Asian man before 30 to look that mature. However, I'm interested in how XK will interpret and portray Han Ting's personality, character, and professionalism. I would guess that Han Ting, as a venture capitalist in Beijing, should display certain personality traits like intelligence, ambition, extroverted, methodical, passionate, rational, strategic, collaborative, and energetic. But no one is perfect. What are his negatives? Is he ethical? What are his morals or boundaries? What are his values and principles? Is he self-interested and opportunistic? Will he disregard Ji Xing in favor of another project when things go wrong? How does he deal with mixing personal relationship with work relationship. Looks are deceiving so I'm okay with him not looking fierce but how he deals with things should be fierce or aggressive. Is he a kind person or terrible person?

I enjoy all his dramas. Few people mention Dance of the Sky Empire that is another good one, only 28 episodes, and very easy to watch. It is still available to watch for free on Amazon Prime.

It's hard to see emotions when the character is supposed to be cold, but I can see Bai Jue aloofness toward everyone around him because Xu Kai visuals.

Both Xu Kai and Seven Tan are great at comedy. I am wondering if they do a comedy drama, it would be hilarious.

But I hope Xu Kai to do more serious roles that have similar style of acting as in AMA.

Jack Nicholson is not a handsome man but a great actor. He didn't have great looks, but he had tons of personality, charm, passion, etc.

I like XK gentlemanly looks and his visual acting. He is able to express emotions in a very subtle and nuanced way and convey emotions through his eyes alone. His acting pulls me into his character's emotions. That is why he was so good in The Story of Yanxi Palace that propelled him into acting. When he got his first acting role in Zhaoge (which never aired), he was so excited, he called his parents. They told him, if he can do it, do it, if not, don't do it. He thought he do it, make some money, then return home to help his parents, but he must have done well. Early on, he was always worried he might lose the roles, but the rest is history. Xu Kai has natural talent to do a lot of things he never had formal training in. He is a hardworking, humble guy, trying to get better at the craft. I believe in him and wish him much success.

All the young actors work hard. I don't know how they find time.

Tan Song Yun is not Miss Universe type of beauty, but she is very attractive in her own way. She has big bright beautiful eyes and a mouth that makes the sweetest smile that can light up a room. She is talented and charming. She can sing beautifully and I can feel her emotions in her singing. Her acting is full of emotions and passion. What more can you ask?

I know nothing about the story beforehand; but I felt what you described from watching the movie. The chemistry is in how different the two people are and how when they are together, they make each other better. I felt both leads portrayed these differences that makes them fall for each other.

it's the way she grew up. her parents are extremely protective of her. she's not as experienced as the guy. her facial expressions I thought perfectly captured it; apparently, he's had some experience the way he moves on her.

It's not the actress. It's because not everyone sees the same thing when we watch the same movie. I see the character she is portraying, and I see the connection between the fl personality and ml personality. I saw it the moment she got in that elevator with her arms full of groceries and couldn't reach her floor number and he does it for her. I saw it when she was at the store hiding the gallon of water and then he sees her and goes to get it off the highest shelf. I saw it when he took her to the store to buy provisions and she couldn't reach the slippers. It's a very cute bond they eventually develop for each other as they grow and learn together as gaming teammates. He is supposed to be older, wiser, and more experienced than her and he is and does protect her and help her and give her good advice; but in the end, it's really her who became the backbone behind him. It just goes to show no one is perfect and sometimes in life, you think someone is weaker than you, but they can help you too. He's this perfect guy who doesn't' really know how to have fun until she shows up. There is a line he says in the movie that I never forgot. it goes something like "love is a spark that comes out of nowhere, it just happens" (went something like that. I'd have to find the scene again to quote it exact). It just may not be the kind of romance you were hoping for. I felt the fl was an intelligent, compassionate and courageous girl who knew what she wanted and not afraid to pursue her dream even in a guy's world, which is not easy. Her personality makes sense to me since she's basically a nerdy girl. She was an only child, and her parents are very protective of her. She is young and unsophisticated and has to rely on her more experienced girlfriend for advice. The ml comes from a wealthy family and his mother is very domineering, so he is mature, sophisticated, intelligent, competent in many things, and has great deal of knowledge and understanding of a lot of things. But he is complex in that he has many sides to him. He is also a nerd playing games all day long.

Have you tried his Republican era drama "Arsenal Military Academy" which he won Best Actor award for his incredible portrayal of Gu Yanzhen? I wished he could get more roles that allow him to be serious and just act naturally. In AMA, he is serious character, yet charming and funny all at the same time. I feel we have not yet seen his full potential.

In You Tube comment, someone wrote that FIYS is still #1 on WeTV Philippines. I believe it. This movie is amazing. The entire cast has chemistry. It's a movie that will be loved for a very long time.
