Her (Yang Zi's) Chinese fans are so stupid honestly.Xu Kai just interpreted her characters nature in the drama…
perhaps these sensitive dysfunctional fans took it to heart that he's insulting Yang Zi when he's actually talking about the character, and not the actress.
๐๐ did not they listen that he himself called his character as cunning , who makes money by fair or foul…
isn't the storyline about the ml goes from a cold person who focus on making money to finding that happiness of family life is more valuable than making money? and the fl breaks from family, goes on a journey of self-discovery from to become more matured and independent after she works alongside the ml business? Judging from the trailer, her family is silly and will be entertaining to watch.
That was fast, modern drama doesn't take as long to get distribution license I guess. Xukai other modern drama…
I hope Xu Kai 's role has some meat to it. I'm looking forward to As Beautiful As You more than this one. But this one got an award for most anticipated. From the trailer, it feels like an inspiring, charming and funny family movie. I like that kind of movie so I will be looking forward to it. The trailer of Xu kai with his grandmother is sweet.
Watching a clip of Best Choice Ever, Xu Kai leaves his own unique charm on every character he portrays. It's almost as if he does it intentionally. He brings every character to life according to his interpretation of the role. Although the characters are different, but then there are instances of his own unique charm that he seems to intentionally put in, like leaving his own mark on every character.

We all have unique perspectives. When I watch a drama, I try to understand what the producers and writers want me to take away from the movie. If a character seems out of place, I try to understand why they were written that way. In my opinion, all Chinese costume dramas have crazy character to create conflict. No conflict, no fun. I actually like the craziness, it's part of the entertainment for this kind of light movie, in fact the crazier the better since WOL is part comedy anyway. I feel that there is a lot packed in WOL. It's made to appear light-hearted on the surface but underneath it's heavy with underlying messages and themes dealing with human condition that are profound. For example, there is a message about how when people are at the end of their rope or desperate, they will pray and seek higher power, which is what Cui Lin did and she had never believed in prayer. Another message I really like in this movie is taking care of the elderly. Anyway, there are way way too many examples. The best theme from WOL is to value life, cherish it, protect it, never give up and live well. That's what sets WOL apart from a typical romance comedy/drama.
I am aware of the ending of Journey to Love was not made clear to viewers and left many to wonder and ponder and guess and ask each other and felt let down. I believe that comparing movies is not a good idea as it can reduce the enjoyment you get from watching them. Every movie has its own unique qualities and is created for a different purpose and different audience.

He loved his other two sons because he was easily fooled by them. Li Ni was too smart for all of them. He did not fit in. Li Ni is independent, strong willed, and has quite a temper and rage inside growing up that he did not know how to manage. His brothers caused him so many problems that he became the black sheep, rejected by everyone in the palace; and it permanently damaged his relationship with his father. His father is a weak, simple-minded, not smart, very flawed man with no understanding of the world, who lived a pampered, luxurious, sheltered life, and he was never meant to achieve anything or do anything in life other than live out his pampered existence. This is why he was such a pathetic emperor; he was never trained to be anything, least of all an emperor. He had no parenting skills and was a very bad father to all his sons. How can such a man understand an exceptional son like Li Ni? The father and son were estranged since Li Ni left at 13 to join the army. The father still has the same distrust and negative impressions of Li Ni as an adult and still treated him same. No matter what he does, he always views him as that rebellious hot temper kid causing trouble. It is sad to see such a pathetic man as a father and ruined his sons. Luckily Li Ni was fortunate to go to the border and find Bao and the Bandits. Bao was everything to LI Ni, taught him everything. Bao was a very soft kind-hearted man who was very astute and understood people really well. He took LI NI under his wings, helped him to channel that hot temper and rage, and become the man he is.
This movie is not real life so there can be a sweet reconciliation between father and son. In real-life, these reconciliations are not easily attained. It's very difficult to overcome.
Li Ni seemed to have a few women in his life who loved him, his nanny, his brother's mother, his older brother's wife. It makes sense that Li Ni fell in love and loved Cui Lin so much, he do anything for her, and wanted a loving family of his own.

well OK but you sounded so distress with words like "annoying me", "getting on my nerves", "boring", "unbearable to watch", and "find strength to finish", I felt really bad for you. Is that healthy? Sorry i misunderstood you.

Your mental health is more important than finishing a movie that upsets you. There is no need to force yourself. Romance movies often explore emotional themes while other romance movies may focus more on action or adventure. Perhaps the complex, multi-faceted, and nuanced emotional themes in WOL do not appeal to you. It's okay not to like a particular movie.
favorite scenes in Ep40 1. Father and Son. They gave the scene plenty of time, not too much and not too little. There is so much to unpack there in those interactions shown in matter of 7 minutes. The father was a flawed and weak man but never an evil man. He never understood his son and was a bad father. Li Ni was an exceptional person, and the father was simple minded and prone to anger and hitting his son. It doesn't matter how bad the father was before or how loveless their relationship, if father and son can reconcile, that is a beautiful thing in life you would wish for anyone who is estranged, and it's heart -warming to see such a scene. 2. The fishing scene is funny. 3. LCF personal guard carrying LCF ashes to be buried is a touching scene.
Wished they gave a kid to Taozi and Ears and the kid inherited his super hearing.
excerpts from main cast interview: 1. XK: those ancient beds were just wooden planks. Our elbows and knees really hurt. Our heads often hit the beds too. 2. Gao Han is scared of heights, but he had to jump from an old building, and jump into a real natural lake. 3. Gao Han: Thank you LCF, for making me live bravely for once for Cui Lin. 4. When Gao Han jumped from 20 meters (66 feet) into the lake, his armor was 18kg (40 lbs) and still wearing wires. He had to jump repeatedly. After he fell into the water, he had to be carried by the current, and he had to do this all by himself. It was typhoon season too. The last time he fell, it immediately rained but the director continued with the scene. 5. XK: No one is perfect. Basically, LCF from the beginning, you already loved A Ying. 6. GH: A Ying is the breadth of life for LCF. 7. XK: I had to take care of the two kids while filming on location. Tried being a father for two days and couldn't handle it. 8. Jing Tian: I am grateful to viewers who supported us. I see comments that they worried about the storyline. They are angry because LCF craziness and because Li Ni and Cui Lin thoughts don't match. It made viewers very panicked. But I feel like they really enjoy watching it.
Miss gu is just as delusional as fake cuilin if she thinks she can get Lini's love and becomes crown princess…
Miss Gu plays the long game. But her mother ruined it with the drugs now her father has to speed up the game. After she told the emperor of Cui Lin's death, the emperor felt sorry for her and said he would make her Li Ni's consort and I assume crown princess. She thinks after some time, she can change him and manipulate him to love her. Remember her mother already resorted to s drugs to increase his sexual desire. I'm sure they will figure out a way to get her pregnant too. Once she has a son, she no longer needs Li Ni. Miss Gu wants to be useful to her father because all her life, she was the useless daughter; but now she is ambitious, and she does love Li Ni too.
Li Ni father and brothers were never raised to do anything in life, but to live a luxurious, useless life; and certainly not to be an emperor or crown prince. The emperor has no talent for anything but crickets. The emperor is a coward and has no ability to gather intelligence, so he depends on his trusted advisors for everything. and to begin with, he has never trusted Li Ni before. Also, LI Ni has military backing him and that military are the guards in the city, so it is natural for the emperor to be afraid of Li Ni. This is quite typical, unless you are the founder of the dynasty. His two sons rebelled and die so it is reasonable for him to think Li Ni would rebel too.
I think I'm the only one greedy now , because i really want it to air ASAP ...
I love the character Yang Hua in SHPH. Only Xu Kai could have made that kind of boring character come to life and give Yang Hua charm. Royal Feast was my second Xu Kai movie I watched. That movie seemed really long to me, and Xu Kai is not in all the scenes. Also, I had hard time following some of the situations until I found great comments in You Tube that helped me understand the scenes better. Xu Kai was absolute perfection in portraying the imperial grandson. If not for Xu Kai portray making the imperial grandson such an outstanding character and display his temperament so well, I would not watch it even though the entire cast was great especially the older actors were superb.
