You could tell that Wei Xiao You was on the edge of starting something with Jiang Ai. I’m actually glad they didn’t go there.
If a guy's already in a relationship and he’s holding your hand, looking into your eyes while you’re talking about love - yeah, odds are high he’s ready to leave his current girlfriend for you. Just make sure you’re ready for him to do the same thing to you down the road.
I’d say the ending was actually kind of sad. The male lead doesn’t grow or change - his attitude toward relationships stays exactly the same, which leaves the film feeling hollow.
I found the movie a bit boring overall. Maybe it’s due to cultural differences, or maybe because it’s apparently a parody of A Moment of Romance (1990) - which I haven’t seen, so I probably missed some references.
That said, speaking honestly as a straight guy, the only thing I really enjoyed was seeing so many beautiful actresses on screen: Angelababy, JJ Jia, Chrissie Chau, Race Wong, Ella Koon, Lynn Xiong, Kate Tsui... other than that, there wasn’t much holding my attention.
I struggled with rating this one. The age gap made me uncomfortable (and there were some unnecessary scenes that increased that discomfort). I guess it would be more acceptable if the timelines were 3-5 years apart.
Side note: If someone ever takes a picture with your kid while saying they might end up together in the future… take their picture too - then call the police.

I'm gonna wait until it finishes airing and then check the score and reviews 😉
(luckily there were 2 versions - one with no subs, and one with eng subs)

The rating after first 4 episodes aired was 8.1.
Now (only 1 episode to go) it's 7.5...
Is it that bad?
