GOOD but could have been outstanding- if they hadn't written characters to be totally out of character in the last few episodes- most likely done to tie up loose ends, to stay in budget/finish production time frame. in addition, it's a bit of a stretch for normal/most people to take ridiculous chances that belie common sense and unnecessarily place themselves and others in harms way but OK, it's fiction folks!
EP 4 completed- I keep watching with the understanding that the M & F leads are why they are, the basis of most drama stories. Still, the FL character is super annoying and a couple of others aren't far behind. The better dramas don't write characters to unbelievable naivety and stupidity, perhaps with the exception of some genres
On hold, most likely will not finish after 7.5 episodes. Annoyingly repetitive, up and down behavior simply not justified by past misfortunes of the character's lives, which destroyed the intended comedy aspects. While Won Hae may be a great comedy actor to many people, he can also be terribly annoying. In summary, this should have been shorter to get to the point and writers needed to strike a better balance between comedy and romance. 6.0 at best
Completed- another very good epic family saga with full range of human emotions. This long-series format really works well for me and i feel this is another that's underrated. Was thoroughly absorbed- well worth my time- 9.0. I'll really miss asadoras once I've exhausted the available library.
Good asadora through episode 77. Some observational jests about J and other A drama writing- which ones apply to Mare? 1) never say what you should and when you should say it! 2) never say what you mean and mean what you say! 3) always take what seems like several minutes to reply while in the midst of conversation! 4) always apologize, even when you haven't done anything wrong! 5) don't defend yourself even when it's plainly obvious and justifiable to do so! 5) always trip and fall to further complicate your life- make sure to carry way too much stuff! 6) never look when crossing an intersection and always walk down the middle of the road!
well done, everything you could want all wrapped up in one. every politically incorrect AND correct trope represented including minute details. fun, funny , well thought out story and writing for a lite comedy. very talented cast. Yoshida Yoh is a Queen among queens! 9++
Underrated in my unimportant opinion. Really liked the aura/atmosphere and the diverse characters, each with unique quandaries to life's meaning and happiness. Solid acting. Should everybody read Hamlet in order to get on with life, ha ha? Well worth my time - 8.2
Good, detailed real-to-life story and it touched on all emotions. Just about all characters deeply affected. Well acted. Dialogue a little too slow at times but the pace mostly fit the story pretty well and the story was solid enough. It fits the mold concerning bad and good luck- sometimes when it rains it pours and sometimes, but less often, it's a gentle summer rain.
Would have been better if i could have found a full version- I watched it in three/fragmented parts on YouTube (too late, I found the full version on Tubi). I'd bump up the current 7.1 rating on here to 7.5/7, more in line with other commenters below, being that the positive aspects outweighed the negative
