he definitely was romantically linked with a woman or more (normal in that era) as implied in the 2016 series!

they were all answered and foreshadowed throughout the drama actually! :D

1) they used the star moon sand which affects memories and the order of time. scenes like the execution could’ve also been set up like how previously fo ye tricked wu lao guo by shooting wu juan lian to trigger his memory.

3) yes he died. but it’s assumed that he has a child or more to continue the family line. in the novel, he didn’t die. but they changed it in the drama for a more emotional impact for the audience i think. just ne glad it’s not xiao yu 🥹

this was honestly a perfect way to end the mystic nine’s adventure. felt like i got a lot of closure from the 2016 series and the fate of the M9 members 🥹

i would personally recommend you to watch the mystic nine 2016 series next and then start on this 2026 mystic nine series. i would watch archives afterwards, but since you've already seen it, after that you can start on the lost tomb series. the events don't necessarily connect, but the family connections and backgrounds of the characters all link together. it would be more enjoyale to have those understandings as the dramas don't spend their time explaining them in depth.

tbh, show started really strong. but the romance between the main leads was so bland towards the end 😅 bai hui's arc ended up being the strongest in the story, but kinda bummed that her parents weren't really held accountable for their past behaviours. that talk was honestly not satisfying enough :/

ep 25-26 gave me chills. the scenes with the soldiers ohmygod 🥹

jin bai hui's parents are pissing me off 😑

then there will be nothing for us to watch hahahaha

honestly loving it that chenpi is more of a comedy relief in this series 😂 this actor has good chemistry with everyone lol

i'm still trying to warm up to wang yiting as xin yue. she still feels too childish, and awkward chemistry with william tbh 🫠
