Recent Lists

I tend to be quite lazy updating my list which also explains why I’ve only created this acc in 2018. When I watch a drama, instead of just focusing on the plot and acting, I tend to focus more on the dialogues, its visual and its faithfulness to the original novel (if any). That being said, I grew up watching a lot of Hong Kong and Mainland Chinese dramas (+ a few Taiwanese dramas). My first Korean drama was in 2007 (Princess Hours), but I didn’t start to dive deeper into K-dramas until 2009 (mainly because of the Kpop phenomenon)

I have always been more drawn into historical/period dramas so it won’t be surprising if you find that a majority of dramas I watch are of that genre :) Compared to what is listed on my watch list, I’ve probably watched more dramas in my life —they’re mostly unlisted because they’re either too old or I just don’t want to waste my time searching for them and then categorising them as “completed”. When I do come across something that I’ve already watched in the past, such as randomly seeing while browsing the site, chances are I will add it to my list though :)

A 7/10 is usually considered a "good" to me and tend to be dramas that are enjoyable but can improve by a lot. An 8 and above would usually be dramas that I feel have re-watch potentials. Besides from those listed reasons, I rarely distribute 9 or 10 —the drama will need a lot of wow-factors to earn one of these scores. As each drama series are produced with different budgets and styles, I also take these factors into how I rate a drama as I understand that there may be limited resources or actors may be inexperience and etc. I may also take into account of production date, since this can contribute to how outdated or trendy the storyline is from the time it’s filmed.
